No reason to prefer... One is in tacvi the other in Anguish... If tacvi person get into anguish will upgrade this w/ higher one... we are talking about one expantion difference here...
Actually, yours might have the better DPS, but I'd take this for the better AC, SV's, +Shielding, and the lifetap proc.

just got it on my 65 SK, hes hitting for 400, plus the proc right now for him anyway is a 528 point lifetap that crits for 1k+ (with the heal of course!)

SK is 70 now, and this weapon is just sick - literally dont have to heal him at all against drakes in sunderock that hit for 900ish and mitigate slow to partial.
With other weapons like morguecaller, have to heal him as normal, even tho hes using a shield. Its the procs from this bad to the bone weapon that keep him alive, esp after putting a 125 LT aug in it, with the right AA's for increased LT damage etc.
Hes got 4 lifetap procs right now, Touch of the cursed aa proc for 404, Shroud of discord proc for 404, and 2 procs from Deathblade of 614 and 439. With wep affinity 5, and maxxed exceptional heal off tap aa's hes critting all the time and exceptional heals off the crit is as high as 2458. Plus hes only 70 at the moment. Cant wait to see how this blade is at 80. This thing puts better ratio weapons to shame, such as sundering sword of fallen hero. The LT proc is awesome.

Asked a friend to link his today after the 15/12 patch, it got upgraded 360hp and lifetap went up to 175 - didnt look at the AC but thats quite an impressive upgrade - cant wait to see post patch bloodstone blade :)

A shadowknight in my guild got this blade last night and I must say this beast does sooooooooo much damage for a lvl 68 sk I was impressed

Got this today on Bristlebane. from the short time I have used it I LOVE IT so far!!
I perfer the slightly higher delay for casting between swing counts. I have https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=28595 for speed if I need it, but reposts can be murder against the 2-5k hitters you fight by the time you get this stuff.
and btw dmg bonus at 67 is 42..I need to grind to 70 quick.

I'm a pally and I prefer the SK proc. Lifetaps are about the best proc, in terms of utilizing a paladin's AAs. I understand a group heal non lifetap is more in line with a paladin RP-wise, but people stopped RPing in EQ 5 years ago.

I'd rather have the paly version than the SK version - ratio, speed, and proc are all preferable... /sigh

ok wow you get more STR and STA with the SK version ... if you have any haste item over 30%... your "/sigh"ing about Milliseconds of time.
Light of marr while it may do more damage .. is not a lifetap. I dunno I think the SK version is more to my taste... Tell ya what why don't you sell off all the gear you can and become a Paladin. That way you can be happy :-)

I would say they are waiting to let it drop off something a lil bit later or have not made it so it drops yet. Maybe waiting till later on when it comes closer to Oow exp. Who knows but anyhow ive never personally seen this drop myself either.

When my sk hits 65 (will be awhile, lol) I'd love to have this sucker in my hand.. I ahve my doubts tho, reading postst b4, it may have just been a lure for people to explore god zones while they where new.
But, could u imagine the dps this sucker would do? lol..

Has anyone actually seen this blade drop? What drops it? I cannot verify that it actually exists.

This weapon link was pulled somehow. This blade has not dropped yet and noone therefore knows what drops it. It is assumed maybe Tacvi has it. It is indeed an awesome blade.

Dot proc... very dangerous to use despite how nice the ratio is.

It's only an 18 second proc nevertheless, and on top of that I think the sheer power of the weapon outweighs any disadvantage it could have on the part of the dot. I like the proc personally...it's free damage mitigation for a shadowknight tank (a tanking class that is going to use a snare dot to get aggro anyway), and in any raid situation a player who has slogged enough time to get this weapon is probably going to have the discipline to hold back until the mob is called. Given that it's a tank weapon I think a dot can be excused.
true, but it's not the weapon to use in encounters where you have to offtank stuff till a chanter can mezz it, as that could cause problems. still, 90% of the time, it's ok. Slash on!

Point taken :). Even so, given the choice between this and pretty much any other SK weapon in the game, easy question as to which one I would pick.

I cant believe they finally came out with a weapon like this just for sk,s i almost passed out. I have erased my wish list and just this is on it now.

Well, not sure why the DMG was changed from 76 to 73, unless maybe it was never intended to be 76 to begin with. But if they changed it for fear of being too overpowered, they need to take another look at the Berserker-only weapon thats 84/40. Making a change of 3 damage is just a small tweek and this weapon still rocks after the fact, but I'm guessing it was just one of the many data entry mistakes that are made and was never intended.
