if you put an augment that fits all slot types in, can you specify which slot? AKA if I put a dex LDoN aug in will it allow me to specify type 7 slot or am I going to loose the ability to put a proc aug in?
what procs, stat, or dmg augments are type 7?
what anger or stun procs can augment with this?
I'd recommend either Anger I, II, or III or one of the Ykesha Procs. The 75dd Ykesha proc is actually more agro than an Anger I aug and the 125dd Ykesha proc is only a little bit less agro than Anger II.
You get the Anger procs in Everfrost and Ykesha in South Ro.
There was a type 7 proc also but I can't remember where you could get that one. Likely made just for these weapons.

As of the June 16th patch, this also has 80 hp and 80 endurance added to it.

Where did you get the Raw Shimmering Nihilite used in the recipe? No one sells it on SolRo in the bazaar and no one knows how or where to get it?
It's not the same thing as Raw Pale Nihilite, is it?

GoD zones post trials the shimmering ore/nihilite drops from yard trash mobs.
To make the Velium Gemmed Long Sword
(Smithing: Yield 1, trivial 262)
Combine Velium Inlaid Long Sword Blade + Velium Inlaid Long Sword Hilt in a forge or the tanaan forge.
Both of these items require a lot of sub combines and I would suggest checking out www.eqtraders.com for the full recipe.
One other thing that is worth mentioning, this sword has two aug slots. Slot type 4 and type 7.

Picked one of these up today on Bristlebane for 20k. I've seen them going for as much as 50k, so when I saw it at that price I jumped on it. My stats with buffs all max at 305, my attack without fero/fa is at 1555 - I was seeing crits as high as 183 and average hit at about 108. Nice blade... graphic is pretty cool too... this will be a keeper once it's aug'd right.

As of today(3-27-04), the long sword no longer has ANY augment slots. Why they were removed I can only guess, but I bought this blade expecting the slots to be there. I should have looked closer in the trade window, but was in a hurry to get it.
I /bug'd the lack of augment slots, in hopes that this is an oversight, but am probably just wishing at this point.

I found one of these in the bazaar yesterday for 100kpp on Veeshan. At level 58, it is 14dmg 20 delay, and all the stat bonuses and saves are at +9. The sword looks like a Disemboweler or Wind-Worn Handblade, except much longer. I dual wield this with the Handblade, looks pretty swift. Expensive, but cool. :)

Is there required level for this? Common sense tells me that It would be 65, but I don't see one listed.
No recommended or required levels. Great Twink item. I can't see it being too bad in the 60's either, depending on your class and your guild that is. I'm sure heavy raid guilds could get you better. For droppable though it's VERY hard to beat.
sorry buddy, but this is incorrect. i'm looking at the blade right now in the bazaar, and it's reccommended level of 65. perhaps this was nerfed after the above was posted, so i'm not trying to sound flaming, just informative. there is a reccommended level of 65, and this item would suck really bad as a twink item.
The required level is 60

it requires tons of subcombines but ive never played in any GoD zones so i got no clue how hard the components are to get.

Drops are a pain to get (never see em for sale in the bazaar) drop from the higher GoD zones beyond natimbi. Also requires not only high smithing but a high JC skill as well. (I believe the platinum weapons are in the 162 JC so the velium should be in the 200+ range but dont quote me on that.)

any one notice that a Velium Gemmed Great Sword has a type 8 aug slot while this one with the same name has a type 7?
Because Alla has it wrong currently. The great sword has a type 4 and type 7. I already sent a correction
I just bought one on Veeshan for 125k. The person was taking offers, I didn't know it was player-made. I still think it's worth it since it's for my Ranger and it has a better damage/delay ratio than a Blade of Carnage and I certainly don't need the aggro the BoC procs! I was looking at a few other weapons I'd seen list here on ALLA with 15/20 ratios but they are so rare they're never in the bazaar so I was gonna get a BoC despite the aggro.
What's better is I can duel-wield these even if I find another. Anyway, I don't think you can go wrong so for those who want it, I hope you can get your hands on one.

BoC is war, pal, rng, shd, and bard useable.

BoC is far from being warrior only, there's a dirty level 50 soemthing ranger on Veeshan with a BoC <and yes i'm sure it's a BoC> and I have to /smack him everytime I see him.

BoC in fact is NOT warrior only. Do an item lookup Arrowolf
