It doesn't seem possible to get pale nihilite anymore. So, take raw crimson nihilite and give it to Neysia Morningbloom in Absymal Sea. She'll give you crimson nihilite. Use the crimson nihilite instead of the pale nihilite in the recipe, and it should work in the smithing quest recipes at least. I'm guessing that it would work in all of the recipes that call for pale nihilite.

My understanding is that it's a known bug and Ngreth (tradeskill dev) will address it in an upcoming patch.

Does this, or the Raw Pale item drop anymore? I need a few pale nihilites to finish my smithing trophy and I cannot findd any at all and hunting/farming isn't working. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.
The combine above no longer works directly in Reinforced Jeweler's kit. Only way I could get it was to give it to the lady in Abysmal Sea for the kit quest.

If anyone has the revised recipe, please let us know what it is (along with the containers in which it works and the trivial).

I just got finished refining Raw Crimson Nihilite in my reinforced jewelers kit (before I read your post) and it worked fine for me. (The one turning raw crimson nihilite into crimson nihilite). Is that the one you mean? I mean that one works for me atm.

Update - with the last patch, any recipie that required PALE NIHILITE will now work with CRIMSON NIHILITE. I know it works because I finished my PALE PLATINUM MACE. Hopefully, we can bury this now.
