Better effect than the Tunic in some situations...

Paladins have been using "hat heals" since the Deepwater helm came into existance. Now Skin Like Steel doesn't add as many hit points as Daring does (100hp for Skin Like Steel, 130hp for Daring, at maximum effectiveness), but this helm also has a casting time of 8.5, while the Deepwater helm has a casting time of 10.0.

Now compare the healing power of this helm to the Tunic of Wrath. The Tunic of Wrath has Invigorate, the standard pure-melee clickable tunic heal, that heals 100hp. However, for some insane reason, the Berserker tunic has a casting time of 15.0, which is almost three times the casting time of some other pure-melee tunics with Invigorate. Of course, if you have a high level druid or cleric hit point buff, you won't be able to use the helm to do "hat heals" on yourself, but if you don't have one of those high level hit point buffs, or if you only have a talisman hit point buff from a shaman, you can use this helm to heal yourself much faster than the tunic can.

So far, berserkers getting "hat heals" from their Kunark armor is about the most useful part of it all, except for the leggings that directly improve your damage output.

P.S.: Yes, I would still rather have Summon: Drink on the boots, instead of Endure Poison. Smiley: tongue

If a Berserker's drinking something that came out of his boots, I think I'd rather have the Endure Poison...

never underestimate the power of a clicky-buff.
