price data???
# Aug 17 2005 at 1:18 AM Rating: Decent
well ive had one of these for a couple of levels and am thinking of now replacing that slot with earring of the solstice and moving haste to somewhere else. so i haven't seen one of these being sold in bazaar for about a week and every pc goes unanswered, which leaves me puzzled as to asking price for it. I'm not sure if i should just price it as the same as other 21% haste items, or make it different since its a different slot.

These posts are bunk. Gilipus is NOT on Gemchopper faction. I just killed a bunch of minos and he never went above indifferent, although the guards at Ak'Anon entrance are really happy with me now. You also do NOT need "amable" (whatever that is) to do this quest. Indifferent works just fine.
Factions

As said before, you do have to have at least amable to do this quest. I found it easier just to do the noob quest in Ak'anon instead of killing minos. Just kill the defective cleaners (you have to anyways to get the glasses) and turn in the legs parts. I went to indiff to amable in about 30 minutes. Hope both my post helps everyone :).

If you're a rogue with STEALTH you can get into the Colossus of War room w/o being seen...I just did it today and lived :)

Finally completed this quest today.

Turned out Gilipus was on Gem Chopper faction. Just go kill minotaurs for a few hours. Once I reached amiable I was able to do the turn ins. The rest is a snap.

Wicked nice earring in my opinion.

More Information

Would just like to add a bit more information to the wonderful walkthrough posted below as I am halfway through this quest now.

Finding directions was a pain in the behind. For those of you who are not the adventurous type this is how you get to where you are going:

Pick a Wayfarer camp and have the Magus transport you to Nedaria's Landing. From here follow either step one or step two below.

Step one (Abysmal Sea): Just hop on the boat. Boats seem to be acting a bit buggy and I got left behind three times but when I finally decided to try riding on the railing of the boat I was okay.

Step two (Natimbi and beyond): Find the Magus. Have him send you to Natimbi. That is the easy part. Once you arrive in Natimbi you will pretty much be on the eastern zone wall. Follow it north until you hit the northern zone wall. The entrance to Qinimi is on the northern wall about halfway between the eastern and western walls. The zoneline is located inside what appears to be a huge citadel. Trust me...no way you can miss it.

Once you arrive in Qinimi you will want to hug the wall to your right. Follow it around until you see another citadel type structure (you are looking for the one that merges with the wall and not one of the freestanding ones). Head inside and just follow the path (it is linear so no branches to worry about). This will take you to Barindu.

Barindu is a bit trickier than the other two zones. Passing through the castle is easy. It is either linear or I got really lucky and went the right way both times (died doing this once). Once you reach the garden section you are on your own because I was scared and my memory of travel is a blur.

The location noted in the walk through is spot on though. The building you enter is actually composed of two rooms however. The Clay Golem parts are in the second. This is where I believe your class is going to come into play (as mentioned in the walkthrough).

Quick side note before I continue. Up until I reached the room where the ground spawn is located absolutely nothing saw through invisibility except for random archers in Qinimi. The one pathing by the Natimbi zoneline (conned red at fifty two) could see me but the one pathing by the Barindu zoneline (conned white) could not. Not sure if it is a random thing or based on level.

When I actually arrived at my destination two named mobs where in the room. One was the Colossus of War. He could see through invisibility. The other name escapes me but he looked a bit elvish to me. At this point I fired up Harmshield and ran into the room to frantically check for the Clay Golem Parts. Immediately drew aggro. There is a table at the back of the room (slightly to the left of the doorway you pass through) with a large golem hand on it. I thought this was what I would need. It was not. Right behind that table however is a small bag. That is what you want to pick up. I managed to get it into my inventory literally about a milisecond before harmshield dropped. Squash city.

As the walkthrough noted, unless you are in a group (or raid or whatever) capable of clearing the room or have some means of instant (and I mean INSTANT) evacuation you are going to eat a death. No way you make it back to Qinimi with harmshield. I do not even think run speed will help you because I bet these guys summon and even if they do not they hit hard (1200 on one shot from the Colossus) and fast.

At the moment I am stuck on the Ak'Anon portion of the quest. Gilipus is glaring at me threateningly even while using a gnome illusion potion. I could not find him at Ilia's so I have no idea which faction he is on. If anyone could tell me I would greatly appreciate it.

I will post anymore relevant information as I come across it.
Barindu?

I notice the level to attain is fifty. Can a level fifty two shadow knight concievably do this quest, or am I going to get squashed in Barindu?

I have no problem eating a death to get the Clay Golem Parts (the earring is worth a bit of experience and the cost of a coffin for corpse summoning) but if I am going to get hammered before I can get to the ground spawn I would like to know in advance.

Don't think you will get to it if the named is up. Supposedly flurrys and hits for 1200s. There is the named, a large golem, and 2 golem controllers with 3 linked golems each.

However, if you have harmshield (not sure when you SK get it) you can get to it and most of the way out. Possibly even back to the zone if you have a pre-nerf CoS

Rogue SoS AA can get past all the named in the room, making rogues ideal for doing this quest.
