Actually, I think your referring to "Potion of Stinging Wort" +17 str / 300pt. heal is insta-click so a 10-dose can cure 3,000pts near enough to a CH in a bottle. (Balm Leaves + ice giant toes)

This has 1 charge of a full heal spell and the mob isn't just some go up and kill it in a few hits and then it repops in like 6 minutes guy. It ain't worth 3k, if you want to be saved from a death just gate/run or die and get a rez for 30pp. If it had 10 charges it would be very nice but still it will be used up, not worth spending money on.

we had a group of 5, 52 shammy (me), rogue, bard, warrior, druid...all around 45. we killed ishva twice, got the robe, 2 spells, necklace, 2 brains, but never the potion. we droped ishva both times in about 20secs, there was never any increase in his life..ie that he drank the potion... yet it was not there? the only thing i can think of is that potion has a cast time, and was interrupted..can this happen? why didnt we get the potion? thx for the info.

That's like asking how come the SG you killed didn't have a fine steel weapon on him when you killed him. Wake up and smell the coffee. Rare drop means you have a 1 in 100 chance of getting the item. Not 1 in 4!

You didnt get the potion because it is an extremly rare drop. I have killed him 13 times now and had the potion drop only once. It seems to be rarer than his robe is. The spell seems to be the most common of his good drops.

Add to that - Druids can't cast complete heal. In the 50's, warriors can have 4,000+ HP's when buffed/runed. That's a whole lot of superior heals...

hasn't the game changed! now druids can me the main healer of a group, and even rangers like me can have over 4khp without it being unusual

Because....when the healer has gone Bingo on ya or has been smashed into a bloody pool, it is nice to open inventory slot and click on this gem.

At that moment..you would pay that 1kpp just to live.

It's Uber Rare cause you have to drop Ishva before he drinks it. If you can chain-stun him and have a tank whup him you'll get the potion 9 out of 10 times.

This is incorrect. I am a lv 64 rogue, and I successfully assassinated the Ishva Mal (which means that I back stabbed him for 32,000 points of damage, causing instant death), and he had no potion. I think its safe to say that the potion is just very rare. Also at a lower level a group of friends and I camped this guy and killed him many times and never once saw him use the potion, nor did we ever see it drop.

I read up on Ishva Mal...and it couldn't find anyone posting anything about this being dropped...can anyone confirm?...is it just an incredibly rare drop or what?

These were given out as rewards for a GM event on Xev the other day. Got one, heh no idea what's its worth. One charge only, but pretty sweet spell :).
