Anyone else hate the fact that you can spend 1000pp and get nothing but 3 of these pieces of crap? Why did SOE think we wanted these when https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=15577 is always under 25pp in the bazaar?

I mean come on....

I think you have discovered the true intent of the Casino on the game.

If you have read some of the threads from the Devs of these types of on line games, then you know that there is a lot of effort put into trying to balance the economies. There was an extensive thread on this issue on the dev boards of SWG. One of the hallmarks (and necessary components) is what is known as a "sink." A sink, quite briefly, is something that removes currency (Plat) from the game. Tradeskills are a big sink in EQ as well as mounts, since they take plat out of circulation. Without sinks, there is an endless supply of currency, and price inflation is inevitable.
I think the Casino was an attempt to create another large plat sink for the EQ economy, but just a ranger's hunch. I imagine that we will see something akin to it in an upcoming patch.

Only a real dumbass would go spend 1000pp in the Casino and then come here and complain about how it took his money. I am sure that SOE twisted your little, ugly, Halfling arm to go in there - right...? Oh, you went in by yourself? You spent the money all on your own? You mean there is nobody to blame for being a stupid *** other than yourself? *GASP*

Other peoples kids... /sigh

I believe its called a "booby prize." Sorta like when you go to Las Vegas, drop five thousand dollars on craps and they give you a free buffet. :)
