It does not. The best benefit is that you get to med all the time you are not moving, and some are faster than you can run.
It would be hilarious if they logged in today and said, "Cool, been waiting for an answer before I bought one, thanks!"

Nothing. The color is just a little extra thing =)

Also, someone else was posting about hailing the NPCs that you buy the Drogmoors from, and noticed a good quote.

The horses big fat head partially blocks your view and is a targetting nightmare. Drogmor heads dont block your view and are every bit as fast as horses. HORSES REALLY, REALLY SUCK!!!
