97 Kills of the Cub near the fort, no claws...... I've tried during a war, after a zone reset, after a patch and nada.... This is a common drop? In my experience, Bull Feathers! LOL!

I spent all day, literally 8 hours of constant play, tracking and killing every owlbear cub I could find, and not a single claw dropped. Interesting twist though... during those 8 hours, the war continually waged on between the owlbears and the sonic wolves. Only after I had a friend help me end the war and reset the zone did the claws drop. One right after the other, in a span of about 10 minutes. This may just be a coincidence, or the claws may drop more readily when the zone is in its normal state.

I was slaughtering these guys for ages and not a sausage (or claw). Then, last night, I got 2, one after another, from the same pop. The owlbear cub which spawns around the back of the fort.
I scraped off some angry grimlings on the fort guards, noticed an owlbear cub around the back so decided "What the hell, I'll give it a go" and Lo ! There was a claw. Went and killed Reishicyben in Paludal, came back and the cub had spawned again. So killed it also and another claw dropped. woohoo. 2 (and a HQ hopper hide along the way) in the space of 10 minutes.
You just gotta keep at it.

These are to turn into the jeweler Jhaimis in Shar Vahl..i myself have been hunting them for a week with no luck. Its part of the sonic wolf bane quests

Finally I had a claw drop tonight from the cub behind the fort (outpost). Been camping a couple days, but this one spot seems the only one I've had any luck in. Going to try again for the second one for the Beastlord Sonic Wolf Bane Weaponspart of the quest.

I have hunted and slaughtered owlbears and their cubs by the hundreds for over three months, and guess what not a single drop. What gives anybody have any other information, and yes I am killing them in hollowshade moor, I have even had friends run the war to spawn additional cubs still no luck.
