I twinked my 47 warrior with this...everyone claims that there magnetic is sooo much better..personally...i thiink magnetic bp sucks...there just made cus the dont have one
firstly , there is not high school diploma on ANYONE's wall, unless they are seriously that sad. secondly , i completely understood what he said, as i am sure you did as well. so i guess the real question is why do you feel the need to insultingly and condenscendingly correct the spelling and diction of someone who was simply trying to give thier opinion about something and not directly insulting or challenging anyone?
Trio'd 70 SK - Anguish Geared 70 Beast - Time Geared 68 Cleric - Ep / Time geared
Didn't take too long, cleric had ft32 (cap of course) SK did mana taps and so forth. Me, bst, had paragon set up for lom times.. all had clairvoyance and fully raid buffed.. was pretty easy. Twinkage =)
If Yahaman was doing this on The Rathe (running pick up raids without a guild organization) he would be blackflagged and never get a group. The Rathe has player made rules. Those rules say your guild has to take out a mob on your first attempt, THEN you go on rotation.
If your caught KS'n or going out of rot, there is a price to pay.
At first I thought you were joking about everything being on a rotation. I looked at the posts date and its not that old. I am thankful I am not on the Rathe. The RTA, or whatever it is, sounds like a bunch of greedy bastages parseling out who can kill what when it suits them. First agg gets the kill. If a bunch of folks want to form up and go after something it's there right. Not the right of a bunch of the "ubers" to sit there and tell them they cant do it.
Sheesh, seems kind of extreme for a mob that most people just farm twink gear off of, or kill for faction.
I have to agree with Rappa, I'm glad I'm not on the Rathe. On rodcet, We have a raid calendar for Plane of Time, but nothing below that, or above for that matter, is on a rotation.
This rathe thing sounds like playground bullies. "Sorry, we have an order for the swings, every single day, so you can't use them. If you try, we'll kick your..."
The thing I don't like about the RTA (The Rathe's rotation organization) is that my EQ experience is being limited by other players and that I have *very* little input in the whole system. The system is dominated by the uber guilds....break a rule and feel their anger. I get the point of it and everything but it's *so* restrictive and non-representative.
While many may point out that each guild gets representatives to the RTA... 1) If the rep's push too hard for something the RTA community may grant what they request but they will be frowned upon in future events 2) What about those that aren't guilded?
I recommend that anyone not attend Yahmahn raids as its causing guilds that need these mobs to not get anything now, he is pissing off alot of guilds and its really sad to see. Also if your guild doesnt have a flagshare agreement u are not allowed to go and are booted from his raids.
Yahmahn has help my druid on a few pickup raids that i would not have been able to get with my current guild, he has done this for countless people and all they can do is moan and complain. Dont forget he has taken the time and effot to get these raids together. we should be thanking him for this and long may it continue.(well untill my warrior can go on them anyway)
Thankyou yahmahn.. Dainoa snarted stormwarden of tunare proud officer of alliance of steel
Is his guild on he Tribunal getting that bad... I know him and just cannot see this... but i cannot say things have changed or others that lead in his stay are not that way..
Lady Shadrune, the poster who was "sourgraping" did this back in April during the time Yah was not guilded and simply running a pickup raid for non-ubers to get PoP flags and armor upgrades...
We created The Death Squad in late April and are doing great... Yahmahn still does pickup raids on weekends when the guild is not raiding and has gotten countless folks some much needed flags...
There were no flagshare rules on yahraids and they were open to one and all. The loser posting this was just upset that his guild's planned raid of Vindi was thwarted by someone killing him before they could get online to do it... Vindi was only a target because he was needed cleared so the raid could reach the final objective behind him.
Yahraids has killed RZtW on his pickup raids and gotten that flag for people that would have never seen Tactics without Yahmahn's dedicated efforts to help those less fortunate then the players in dedicated hard-core raiding guilds.
If you run in one of those guilds that always run half an hour to an hour late, because your waiting on uber dps machine<#^%*(&^*(&)^> to arrive, who is running late because he forgot to stop by McDonalds on his way to the computer from the rest room, and a pick up raid hits it and gets it, before you get there, then you should have spent that half an hour waiting checking on other targets.
Don't waste even more of your precious time coming here flaming someone that helps the other non-UBERS<--Stupid word> get what they want/need.
I jus obtained this BP tonight in a pick up raid. On the tribunal , Yahman has the best P/U raids, and everyone really seemed to know what they were doin. The pull went smooth, and granted we had a huge force, we were there for AoW also. All things considered, we were well prepared, and he went down easy. Lots of tanks rolled on this, and i was the lucky one with a 96. I contemplated not rolling, due to owning the Chestplate of Vindication. Of course after i won it, i thought about how foolish that notion really was. Now, i know i could spent days collecting N Ro Ldon points for that sweet BP thats available there. But for some well invested time in a pick up raid, i got this. I'm happy.
By the way , if you play on the tribunal, i highly suggest attending one of Yahman's raids :)

There are prolly encounters where it will be more usefull to gain that 30mr and loose 244hp from having no Fot7th. Also note the 10cha on the BoE, it isn't much but it's nice to have. Divine Intervention is based on charm.
Is this the best BP in Eq? No, not really. Is it an awesome piece of armor? Hell yeah. It is arguably the best 'Uber' BP when you are speaking about availability, but best total? No.
I would personally say that this is the 4th best BP in Eq. As for a list of what I consider the best, look below.
1. Great Shadow Platemail, +80 Ac, +25 Sta, +125 HP, +30 to SVFIR and SVCOLD, drops off of Aten Ha Ra 2. Heavy Yttrium Breastplate, +75 Ac, +20 Sta, +100 HP, +30 to SVFIR and SVPOS, drops off of Lord Inquisitor Seru 3. Breastplate of the Void, +65 Ac, +25 Sta, +125 HP, effect of Heart of the Void*, +8 to all SV's, drops off of Vyz'Hydra the Cursed 4. Breastplate of Eradication, +55 Ac, +20 Sta, +100 Hp, +8 to all SV's, drops off of the Statue of Rallos Zek
*As for the proc on BPotV, it adds 225 HPs, but does not stack with Shaman HP buffs, meaning that spells such as Khura Focusing (60), which adds 430 HPs, Talisman of Kragg (55), which adds 365-380 HPs and Harnessing of Spirit (49), which adds 248-250 HPs. So, thusly, seeing as most raids buff their MT with at least one of those 3 spells, it isn't truly worth it to sacrifice those 23-205 HPs, so I did not include that in my considerations.
So, although this BP rawks and is alot more accessible than the other 3, it is NOT the best. I still wouldn't turn it down on a raid though =P.
I don't suppose your or shortbus below you, happened to notice that this post dates back to 2002, before GOD or PoP. This guy didn't FORGET anythign. The BPs you guys mention didn't exist back then.

I agree with everything Khift has said here. I do however think that the Warmaster's Ribcage, dropped by a Possessed Warmaster (5th wave ring of fire), also comes close to this BP (+50AC +15Str +15Sta +15Agi +15Dex +15Wis +15Int +15Cha +5vsMg +5vsFire +5vsCold +5vsPos +5vsDis +100HP +100Mana +10.00 Wt), but mainly for Paladins and Shadowknights. This is due to the +15 Int/Wis, +100 Mana and the lighter weight.

Dunno that i'd call either of these clearly the best... I also kinda like the chestplate of fiery might. 60ac, lots of stats, effect fiery might. Personally, BP of Eradication would be my choice for most scenarios due to the wicked combination of ac, hp/sta, and stats/resists. If you can get any of the three, consider yourself lucky, they are all insanely badass and hard to get.
Strangely enough (and i know someone will flame this comment) I have heard of an uber guild twinking one of their lvl 5 warriors with this breastplate. Statue is commonly pulled to zone when we kill him on our server so it is very possible for a "twink" to be camped there and loot it when the fight is done.. I guess the guild tanks all had equiv or better to do this so I think it would be hilarious seeing a baby warrior roaming around with something like this if I were them hehe :)
Personally I would prefer this BP over any of the others for my warrior as it has the best stamina and nice resists and being a poor little wood elf with around 130stam it helps nicly for the HP's..
I couldn’t see that happening. This is, in most peoples eyes, the single best breastplate in the game for a warrior.
Also, it is a lot easier fighting him just down the walkway from where he spawns...pulling to zone sounds like a hassle to me. Put his face in the ice wall there around the arena, get him slowed, then its smooth sailing from there on out.
Not too hard really. I like to think that after killing Vindi, the Statue to me is considered, your prize...
While I agree this isn't an item that would or should get twinked out. My guild had three drop last night. Now if that happens to us a few more times.....we might be forced to twink it out, or auction off the loot rights. Alright I know it'll never happen but I can dream right?
Who's to say what "should" and "shouldn't" be twinked out. Why should others perscribe the way we choose to play. This is a game.. I should be here for what I define as fun. Personally I hate "no drop" items, or items with level restrictions.
If a lvl 1 player has earned enough cash to buy this item of someone that wants to sell it, who does it hurt for that exchange to take place? Chances are that lvl 1 player has seen enough of the game to appreciate it. Chances are the seller has something better that he wants to replace the bp with.
What a waste to see an item like this rot because it was no-drop. It happens.
errr if that persons main is high enough to obtain an item that would benifet their alt, so lovingly referred to as 'twinks', imo they have earned it once, and should not have to do so again. I have always had somewhat average gear, some slots far less than average, but when i have a decent item i dont need anymore, you'll likely find it winding up on a level 1 character. The only thing wrong with twink is the fact that it causes some new players to feel like ****, making them believe they are not good enough because they dont have 2-3k per slot to blow, when they should instead focus on levels and realise that they arent expected to :)
Why do you all argue over who deserves to get this high-end no-drop stuff? These are big raid type stuff and usually it is decided who gets what before the first blow is landed...and its always by some guy thats like lvl 32...like they would know heh

Posted:Jan 06 2002 at 12:00 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) in actuality the guild will decide over a RPP sytem (Raid Point) and u " BUY " ur gear
-go on raids to earn points -item drops roll on item if u want -if u win, deduct the proper number of points from your point bank -sometimes donate old equipment to the guild
thats the short and ugly... sycks if u cant raid much... rules if you can...
All point systems do not work that way. We don't roll at all unless theres a tie. Point systems are designed for the specific purpose of putting the equipment where it will be used the most (i.e. those who raid the most will earn the most points) while being totally impartial at the same time. They may suck if you only play once a month, but I'd be pretty pissed off if someone who never raided beat me on an item like this when I put in the time to get it and they never show up.
All members were given points to start based on time in guild to a maximum of 11, 1 point per month in guild.
Then all loot we could possibly attain is given a point value.
Vindi BP and this BP are 50 points. HoT armor is 5-20points etc etc.
When an item drops, all people who want it send a tell to the loot master, loot master checks point lists, and person with the Highest point total recieves the loot, and has the value deducted from his points (you can go negative if you are the highest who bid on item)
At the end of the raid, all points spent are added up, and divided among all attendees.
So, on a HoT raid with lots of armor, say 20 people were there, and 60 points were spent on loot. Each person in attendance would recieve 3 points.
In ties you would roll etc.
seems to work so far, the people who attend the most raids, get the most points and therefore, most loot.
Umm, i think he means go on raids get points and if something you want drops then it has a set point amont then people can bid higher if they want it till theres only one person left.
This is probably the best Chest Piece in the game for a tank. Second only maybe to the Chestplate of Vindication, and the Chestplate of Fiery Might, both of which have slightly inferior stats overall, but both of these items have their own pretty cool effects. So if your a stats over effects man, go for this BP, but IMHO the Chestplate of Fiery Might is the best Chestplate (Certainly for Warriors) out there.
Ironic how you name is Sanitylost, becuase you have lost your sanity. Think your some big shot, STFU newbie, funny how you dont leave a signature. Only one on Fennin Ro belongs to a BARD. Why, you ask? Becuase 99% of guilds who kill Statue can go to Temple of Veeshan and comeplete Skyshrine armour dip ****. Which means, most the warriors and tanks HAVE ToV armour and no need for this. Which leaves it to Bards, becuase ToV armour is only given to them Second hand. Think before you act all tuff moron.
I'm not saying bards don't deserve it, there's ALOT of mobs that practically require occlusion to be killed; and bards have a number of other uses. To say that this would go to a bard by default cause all the tanks have better is completly rediculous IMHO. I'd be loathe to say any tank has better, but certainly not all. The only item that can really argue with it is the chestplate of fiery might, but 5ac isnt worth all the stats/hp you get off this baby. True mithril is DEFINATELY not better, there's no way 2ac would beat out the enormous stats and good resists on this. Also, from everything I've ever seen, bards/clerics get ToV BPs first while wariors get this and pallies/SKs get this or vindi BP... the most logical distribution I might add.
Sometimes people need to be reminded that they're playing...oh no wait, talking, about a game...some more than others.
Take it easy, it's just a game, those who are ill-knowledged of certain things should not bother you, and when they do, take it as a reminder to take a cool-down.

Why the hell can BARDS use this thing? You'd have to be a complete IDIOT to give this to a bard... bards get agrod, they DIE. no matter what uber crap they have. Give it to someone who can put it to use, AKA a REAL tank.
About the whole bards using this BP thing. Bards get agro when charm/mezz breaks, bards get agro when we OoS, bards get agro when we just stand there singing CoR. But unlike chanters, when our mezz breaks, and we get agro, we dont die in 3 seconds, we last long enough for the tank to regain agro.

Arazanos, Burninsun, Tilion, Prysenius, Linden, Relic, Dont even start about saying bards die whne they get agroed. THEY CAN CHARM AND MEZ TARD! do you think your gonna die if you have a pet fighting it, then mez his buddy and run? if you do your retarded and shouldnt play everquest
Because Bards are a Plate wearing class. If you give a Bard excellent AC, they can survive for the time it takes for someone to pull the mob off of them.

Posted:Jun 30 2001 at 1:57 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) not against things like the statue lol ;P quad 1200's ... dead bard one round. heh
Stupid argument there, paladin and shadowknights will last all of maybe 1 more hit than a bard against the statue. If the statue agroes on a paladin or sk they are likely dead. Against exp mobs I wear near full melodic and tank better than some warriors, I have compared my bar movement and a warriors against the same type of monster and I dropped slower and I know I have less hp.
This is a who has merit or DKC points item.
These arguments are silly and usually wrong on all accounts.
Heaven forbid that a bard might ever be in a different battle than the one he could get this breastplate. In another situation the extra AC may help him stay alive longer. Or heaven forbid he tries to pull an add off the enchanter or cleric while the primary tanks are busy elsewhere. Every class listed on the item should have an opportunity to roll for it.
It is silly to play a game where people assume every AC item goes to a warrior, every 0.0 weight item goes to a monk, and every INT item goes to a caster. If this were true, most loot would never be available to the other classes and all the paladins, shadowknights, rogues, bards, etc., would still be wearing banded armor or leather. Be nice, play fair, and let all the people who qualify for the item have a chance at it.

now if you were actually in a position to kill the statue of rallos zek...you would understand that the first person to engage the statue besides your MT would be a bard to occlusion him. statue can be slowed but occlusion and tash are kinda necessary for this. pretty much that way on all high end mobs. the ac the 100hps 20 sta(more ac/hps) and 10 cha make this very useful for a bard.
At the level required to take down this mob, nothing is lotto'd unless no one will use it on thier main. This is not like lower guk where casters win fbss's and tanks win smr's. Need is very much before greed in any guild good enough to take out the staute, or the vindicator.

Why can't people understand that No Drop items are meant to be that way so you will actually "experience" the content instead of farming money to twink with it?
