Anger of "Druzzil"
# Apr 06 2004 at 8:19 AM Rating: Good
Excerpt from

Quote:
Druzzil Ro ยท The Matron of the Art
Druzzil has white hair which is held back from her face by a massive platinum crown with a single white gem that blazes like a brilliant white star upon her brow. She is tall, youthful in appearance, with a resemblance to Erudite in skin and body structure. The Demi-Plane of Magic became the home of the goddess of magic. In its natural state, it is an infinitely expansive plane of perfect white and unblemished marble under a gray and featureless sky, though one would likely never glimpse her plane in such a state. Through the will of Druzzil Ro, her home takes the shape, form and features that reflect her current mood. Her plane is simply a canvas for her art.

She is the Goddess of Magic, which we later find out is holding Zebuxoruk, the Ungod, captive in the Plane of Time with Quarm as the cage so to speak. (since Zeb pops after Quarm is killed) This would only rule out that the Anger of Druzzil (magic 23%) would be of use only for Pure Magic based spells, instead of Anger of Ro (fire 23%), Anger of E'ci (ice 23%), or Anger of Solusek (fire, ice, and magic 25%). Hope this clears up some of the confusion.

If you happened to buy this aug and it does not do what you want, don't rip your hair out, follow the below link to find out how to get your points back. Unfortunately it only works if you haven't used it to augment an item yet. =\

Augmentation Refund

Hope this saves someone some trouble!

When does it work
# Jan 11 2004 at 9:25 PM Rating: Decent
FYI, and still looking Ranger 65 I have just purchased and tried it out on mobs in EF, I did not notice, but once, an increase to my DD cold and fire based spells. Looked at Lucy and read that it was on "Limit: Instant spells only". This is something I will report back on if there is a change. I hope I report back, because 1150 points for an item and not have it be beneficial would bite big hickies.

Look at the last line of the effect
11: Limit: Resist(Magic allowed)
This focus effect works only on spells that are magic based. As a ranger, these would be your lightning and summoned nukes; it will not work on your fire and ice nukes.

I can vouch for this. I, level 65 SK, purchased this augment last night. Works great with "Deny Undead" and Lifetap spells. Zilch with "Spear of Decay". Pity... because it was just this spell which I wanted the augment for, the better to bring grief and misery into the lives of bards everywhere. Oh well, the augment DOES work for Unholy Touch and 5100 HP PvP damage (max) tends to make people's eyes water.

As for working with procs... I used "Vampire Talon" (disease based and does not work) and "Mental Corruption" (no damage) and Greenmist (DoT, not DD) so none of these allow me to state that the augment will work with a magic based DD proc.

Maybe it will work with Strike of Ykesha, which is a magic based proc.

as far as I know focus effects don't affect procs. With my Furious Hammer of Zek mainhand (duh of course it's mainhand, I'm a cleric) and boots of silent dreams equipped I noticed no increase in proc damage. The focus on boots works only on magic based nukes.
