Well, these places ARE supposed to be newly REdiscovered lost areas, so why wouldn't you find maybe a sword from an earlier time that was mimicked in a more recent time? Maybe that wasn't the idea but it kinda makes sense that one era may copy a weapon of old that worked and rename it as thier own.(this being the original that may have been copied)
