I heard her corpse now instapoofs making this another item no longer possible to get, and decided to check.
Ran through the quest - hailed her on her way home and got the bag- followed her home and waited for her dad to despawn- killed and looted nightie.

Confrimed that she still drops the No Drop robe and Walking stick, just killed her bout 30 mins ago. I tracked her down, told her I'd follow her home, then she despawned. I thought I had screwed up, but bout 20 seconds later she walked right past me. So instead of hailing her again I figured I'd just follow her home. When she got to her house she followed through the script and the guy in the corner despawned, 4 swings later I was wearin her nightie.

anyone know of have a loc of her house? i follow her around and she just disappears at a spot, dosen't seem to respond to anything other than hails and then i ask "what buttons". other than that nothing seems to stop her

Shainai still drops her awesome items, you just have to have her at her own house in order for there to be a corpse. Unfortunately for me, I did not think to con guy over in the corner before doing so..

What is the purpose of this item??
I wanted it to make my trader on AB look more peaceful. I have two traders on Test who have one, one of which wears plate armour (Paladin). I thought standing there in full armour and holding a weapon might put some of my customers off! :D I have just tried the quest again today, after a very long time, and Shainai's corpse just pooffed immediately after she was killed. I tried again but the same thing happened.
It would be nice, if this is to be the "new normal", to have a quest, or maybe just an item, available for low levels, that could be worn by plate wearers.

You have to tell your you will walk her home and once she gets home, then she is lootable.

You get a faction hit for wacking her first of all? and second of all does the robe graphic show up on vah shir or is it just an ugly tunic like most robes are now for them... when luclin first came out there was a robe graphic or two for vah shir but they quickly disappeared... guess no one liked the look... but some of us did Darn it!! ;0p

I play a human ranger. I have had the nightie for probably a year now. You take a shar vahl hit when you kill shainai. I believe when i killed her i went from kindly to amiable. If casters of your race dont have robe graphics you wont be able to have robe graphic for your character wearing the nightie (ogres, trolls, barbarians, vah shir, halflings and dwarves for instance have no robe graphics). Perhaps other races cannot wear them either. Bottom line human rangers and all other human classes can equip this and have a robe graphic (dark elves, high elves, gnomes, erudites, frogloks and iksar also can have robes). I couldnt say about wood elves and half elves, to my knowledge they do not have robe graphics either. The robe, undyed, is slightly off white for humans.
Confirmed that Wood Elf does not have robe graphic.
Correct me if I am wrong (instead of flaming me =P) but I thought the Item Lore was "You beat up an old lady for this" or is that another item?

lats 2 times i tried to aquire this item when i killed her she just vanished leaving nothing to loot ? so my question is has verant put this back on the menu or is it one of thow to late suckers items that were only avalible to thows paying atention or just sick enuff to slaughter one of the only 3 children in all of eq.
There's something disturbing and kid-toucher-ish about the fact that the little girl drops her NIGHTIE, not a toy, or those dice you get for the little Kejekan kids down in Stonebrunt, but a NIGHTIE. There's something even WORSE about a guy struttin around wearing a little girls night gown that I think makes -10 Charisma QUITE apt for the item, whether it be because it's a very large Ogre in a little pink teddy, or because of the obvious creepiness of ANYONE wearing a little Vah's torn and bloodstained nightie. Not to mention your toon has to STRIP the little girls cold, dead cadaver just to get her precious little nightie. That's just sick...

The Baron in this picture must have his armor dyed, the nightie is a very nice looking robe that is white and the bonus is it can be worn by anyone...
