I've been hunting the gorge for 4 levels now and finally he popped. I was on my way out and say a named minotaur, figured it would be worth a shot with only 35% mana (level 18 wiz) ran out of mana with him having 1% hp left and finished with my wimpy dagger. Hopefully I can get some serious coin for this horn.

Have been looking for Spinflint for about 10 years now it seems, a 58 Bst and a 54 ranger spent 6 hours in this zone, just killing anything that moved, at several points we totally cleared the zone, got dozens of named eye spawns but not a SINGLE spinflint or brahhms pop, much less a chance to determine what was common loot for either mob. That stupid rock collection quest has been in my inventory for FAR too long :(

I camp the EE's in gorge alot...but i had never seen any special mobs save the big eye that spawns in the middle (killed him a dozen times or more)...i started think that mobs like King Xorbb and others where nerfed from the game.....not true, i killed Brahhm tonight and looted his horn.

Only one thing doesnt make since...they say that the super common Minotaur Horn has the same stats as Brahhm's horn. 15% to wind....seems dumb that the ultra common drop is as good as the ultra rare...oh well, another eq boo boo

Just got the horn from Brahhm tonite, my bard is lvl 14, was in a group of five killing muddites and minos and the occasional evil eye, (but they were giving us problems :) ) He conned either blue or even to me, no higher. Good luck.

This instrument is NOT either melee it is secondary only just like any other instrument and you can NOT wield a weapon while it is equiped. Stop spreading lies.

Drums of the beast are primary melee and you CAN wield a weapon while using it. So NOT ALL instruments are the same. So stop spreading your lies.

This is found in the Beholder's Maze (Gorge of King Xorbb) off a named mino.Sorry, no idea the lvl, you can probably go to beastiary and find out more information

where is this item found? what creatures? any zones in particular i should go to to kill these random creatures?

what is the effect of this horn? other than being wind, does it enhance more than storebought wind instuments?

Brahm spawns in the back of beholders maze. just when running runny beholder to save time to hit track. I got mine camping out in beholder before a patch and there he was. green to 40 bard I think my invis holds better with equiped then raw bamboo but cant test that. less starting to appear messages though with invis. Word is 5 percent to wind, I hear again not tested myself. best of luck.
