Initiate’s Robust Earring

It is not necessary to have completed the Gloomingdeep tutitoral. The beginning Initiates Quest leads directly into the earring task. Hop on out to the new refugee Tent City of Gukta in Mountains of Rathe and pay your respects to your Guild Master.

Kor Master Gloorg says 'Your first test, and you passed with flying colors, young Kor _________. You may dispose of that note if you feel the need; there is no longer use for it. I see you are well on your way to becoming a great and respected healer in the Army of Gukta. You have only begun your training, however, so do not celebrate just yet at this small accomplishment. Your next task is to find the Bank and contact Banker Zlopps. He will instruct you on the important things to know about stowing your valuables, such as this brooch I give you now. Good luck, young Kor and remember that the path of light is lent to us so that we might bring health and vitality to the Army.'

Receive: Kor Initiates Brooch, no drop charm

Dar Banker Zlopps says 'Welcome at last, young Kor. Kor Master Gloorg sent word of your arrival and I have been expecting you. It is crucial that you understand how important the bank can be for you. You can deposit any and all of your valuables into the bank for safekeeping until you need them at some later time. You can invest and remove any coin you may have gathered as well. I've just given you 5 gold, so why not try it out? Put the gold in your bank and then take it back out again. It's all quite easy to understand. When you are comfortable with using the bank, make your way to the cleric spell vendors for the next part of your training. Good luck to you, young Kor.'

Receive 5 pieces of gold.

Scribe Gokk says 'Welcome, young Kor. I have been waiting for you to show up. Word has spread rather quickly that your training is progressing quite well; of this I am glad. Your next task is rather simple, but it is of the utmost importance. You must seek out Quartermaster Grik and pass along a message for me. The message is that the new front lives. Make haste to him and return to me when you have completed the mission so I know he received it. Good luck, ___________.''

Quartermaster Grik says 'Ah, __________, I have been expecting you. I'm glad you were so easily able to make your way to me, message still intact. You have done well in this endeavor and I urge you to hurry back to the Scribe who sent you to me. Inform them that I have received the message successfully and all is well. You are indeed proving to be quite the soldier in this grand Army. Thank you, __________ and good luck!'

Scribe Gokk says 'Well done, _________! You have proven that you can carry an important message and in the doing have met our renowned Quartermaster Grik. We are very pleased that you were so quickly and efficiently able to deliver the message and return to me. You will most assuredly do well in this Guktan Army. For your troubles, take this as a token of my appreciation, and as a token of your continued excellence in training. If you're to continue your work with the Guktan Army, you may want to speak with our armorers and see what they can do for you. Keep it up and more spoils may be on the path before you.'

Receive: Level One cleric spell.
Hail Gokk again.

Scribe Gokk says 'As a young Kor, you may find yourself in the heat of battle more often than you would like, and in order to keep alive, you'll want to wear some protective armor. For this, you will need to speak with the armorers in town. I'll send word of your coming arrival, but do not dawdle, young one, they have much more important things to do than to wait for you!'

Clerics wear plate armor, so hop on over to Zok Kilikko the Plate Armor Vendor and hail him. He claps his webbed hands in congratulations that you have found him.

Zok Kilikko says 'Welcome to the Guktan Armory, _______. We have been expecting you. As a young Kor, you may not have been in many battles yet, so I will impart to you some knowledge that I've learned over the years. The part played by the Kor in the Guktan Army is crucial to our success in the field, but it can also be the most dangerous as the enemy will often target our healers to prevent them from healing our wounded. It is for this reason that you will want to obtain the best and most protective armor that you are able to find. And while we're on the subject of armor, we're currently in the process of experimenting with new materials in crafting armor for our Army, but we've still not received all the supplies we ordered. We need you to speak with the skilled merchants in town and check on the status of the supplies we ordered last week, and then return to us with your findings.'

Hail him again, and he will continue with:

1. Zok Kilikko says 'We've had no word on our supplies from the General Store yet. Please check with the General Store in town and check on the status of the supplies we ordered last week, and then return to us with your findings.'

Kilikko now will point and expect you to go get the information. Crtl F to use the Find feature that will lead you to one of the General Supplies merchants. It doesn’t seem to matter which of the Supply merchants you choose, either of them will give you the same reply. I choose randomly one on the list in each of the tradeskill merchants. Pick one and stroll over there and hail him.

Zok Zribb says 'I just received a shipment of supplies, and I suspect that everything they've ordered is in. Tell them that I need some time to validate these supplies and make sure that everything's here, then I'll work on getting them sent over to them so they can start their work.'

Report back to Zok Kilillo with the information and he will send you out on another errand.

2. Zok Kilikko says 'We've had no word on our supplies from the Alchemists yet. Please check with the Alchemy suppliers in town and check on the status of the supplies we ordered last week, and then return to us with your findings.'

Crtl F to find the Alchemy Supplies merchant. It’s just a short hop over there and hail him.

Zok Dendrung looks around for his shipment report, rustling through several papers before finding it. 'It seems that the chemicals that the Armorers are looking for will be in a little later this week. Please let them know for me that I will deliver them as soon as I receive them.'

You guessed…back to Kilikko with the message and get the next errand.

3. Zok Kilikko says 'We've had no word on our supplies from the Bakers yet. Please check with the Bakers in town and check on the status of the supplies we ordered last week, and then return to us with your findings.'

Crtl F to find the Baking Supplies merchant, just a hop, skip, and a jump over there and hail him.

Zok Froob says 'What's this? The Armorers are looking for the supplies they ordered?! Tabruu can be so forgetful sometimes! Would you be so kind as to remind him that I delivered those supplies yesterday?

(Tabruu is the Leather Armor merchant near Kilikko. He is not part of this Cleric quest)
Trot on back to Zok Kilikko and hail him with this information and be dispatched for the next step.

4. Zok Kilikko says, 'We've had no word on our supplies from the Brewers yet. Please check with the Brewers in town and check on the status of the supplies we ordered last week, and then return to us with your findings.'

Crtl F to find the Brewing Supplies merchant. It’s just a short hop over there and hail him.

Zok Crikk says 'I sent my assistant to purchase the solvents and the acids that the Armorers have requested a little over three days ago. He should be returning any time now, and when he does, I will make sure we get them over to the Armorers.'

Trudge back on over to see what Kilikko is worried about now. Now he is worried about the arrowsmiths,

5. Zok Kilikko says, 'We've had no word on our supplies from the Fletchers yet. Please check with the Fletchers in town and check on the status of the supplies we ordered last week, and then return to us with your findings.'

Crtl F to find the Fletching Supplies merchant, trudge over there and hail him. This guy has a bit of an attitude.

Zok Rurpp says 'Yes, yes. . . I heard you! What those fools think they're going to be using arrowheads in armorcrafting for, I'll never know. . . The arrowheads have been ordered and should be here in the next day or two. Tell those fools that they can come pick it up themselves in two days!'

Drag your tired little froggy self back to Zok Kilikko for the next step. This should be some fancy armor that Kililkko is planning on making.

6. Zok Kilikko says 'We've had no word on our supplies from the Jewelers yet. Please check with the Jewelers in town and check on the status of the supplies we ordered last week, and then return to us with your findings.'

Use the Find feature to locate the Jewelcraft merchant and hail him.

Zok Prolo says 'I've obtained roughly half of the gems that the Armorers needed for their new project. I've located half of the remaining gems, and am still looking for the others that they've requested. I expect I'll have the full set of gems completed early next week.

By by now, any froglock is yearning for a nice long soak in a cool pond somewhere, but it’s not going to happen yet. Go back to Kilikko with this news and get the next assignment.

7. Zok Kilikko says 'We've had no word on our supplies from the Smiths yet. Please check with the Smiths in town and check on the status of the supplies we ordered last week, and then return to us with your findings.

Crtl F to use the Find feature and pay a visit to the Smithing Supplies merchant. Make your weary flipper-footed way back to Zok Kilikko for the next step.

Zok Gribbl says 'The ore that the Armorers have requested is quite rare. So rare, in fact, that I've not managed to find any of it available on all of Antonica. Give them my apologies and inform them that I will continue looking.'

Another trip back to your good old buddy Kilikko with this disappointing news and to get the next errand.

8. Zok Kilikko says 'We've had no word on our supplies from the Tailors yet. Please check with the Tailors in town and check on the status of the supplies we ordered last week, and then return to us with your findings.'

Again, use the Find feature to lead you to the Tailors.

Zok Lubump says 'Ah, yes. . . The leather that the Armorers ordered will be here tomorrow. Please let them know that they will be able to pick it up tomorrow afternoon.'

Now, make your last trip back to your old buddy Kilikko.

9. Zok Kilikko says 'Excellent, young Kor, you've returned with word from all of the vendors in town, and it looks like all of our supplies will be in and ready for us soon enough. You've saved us a great deal of time. I'll send word of your assistance to the elders, who will likely want to speak with you.'

The reference to “the elders” is your next clue. Find Lokta Elder Dibbig standing around with the other Lokta Elders under an awning not too far from the Plane of Knowledge Portal and hail him to receive your reward.

Lokta Elder Dibbig says 'Excellent work, ________. I believe you will make a fine addition to the Guktan Army as an apprentice Kor. You're coming along quite nicely, though there are a couple of things that any new apprentice should know. First, you should know that if you're running low on work to do for the Guktan Army, you can always speak with the Quartermaster and Commander Faltip to see if they have any tasks for you to do. I know they always have a need for some help, though I'm not sure if you're experienced enough to help them yet. And secondly, this is the symbol of the Guktan Army. Take it as a sign of completing your first task as a member of the Guktan Army, and wear it well.'
