hastes
# Nov 09 2004 at 3:29 PM Rating: Default
I was wanting to clarify something that I heard. On items that have haste, you have EFFECT: haste and you have some listed as permanent haste. I heard that EFFECT: HASTE counts as a spell or buff and thus will not work if say a better haste buff is cast upon you. Anyone know for sure?
RE: hastes
# Jul 07 2005 at 5:16 PM Rating: Decent
There is > Armor Haste, Buff Haste, Bard Haste, AA Haste and Tribute Haste. Only one of each is allowed, but you can have 5 different haste types, just only 1 per type.
RE: hastes
# Nov 09 2004 at 3:58 PM Rating: Default
An age old question, and a good one. My understanding is that you may have one Item Haste, and One Spell Buff Haste. If you have more than one of either of these, the greater haste takes over. Item Haste can be on a piece of armor, an augment, or on a weapon.

Aye, though there is one more: Bard haste. Most count as spell haste, but higher end bard haste does not. Known as "overhasting". Rogue's delight!

Not 100% sure if this is true but I've read that adding an aug that is recomended/required level makes the entire item have the same requirements. Thus if you are level 50 and get this, the recomended level for the item is then 65, dropping the stats on the item until you are that level.

yes if you add an augment with a recommended lvl or required lvl to an item without one or with one lower .. it makes that item take the required lvl or recommended lvl of the aug or if it has one on it already it takes the higher of the 2 recommended lvl or required lvl .. ive tried this myself with some other augs ive gotten from MPG and some higher places
RE: Careful with this

Now that would suck..a level 40 character works his butt off to get a great augment like this one, only to have it ruin his entire piece of gear..

Since this Augment has a recommended level, does that mean the haste doesn't work till then? or will it work below that.

If it's only for 65's ..then it's just another bull augement to force people to finish the game..i wanna enjoy stuff like this when I can earn them and use them to finish up..IE when I am at 61 like I am now

what is meant by 2% at lvl 1 50% lvl 49?
when the items max haste is 36%?

what does that make the haste at lvl 62
RE: WHA?
# Jan 06 2004 at 10:16 AM Rating: Default
It is not talking about the item. It talking about the Spell Haste. Which has differnet level's (not charater levels). The level 1 (L1) Version of haste is 2%, the level 49 (L49) version of haste is 50%.

If you do an advance search in equipment and only look up things with haste you can see it the same spell but differt armor has it at a differnet level (not player level, haste level)
can it be put on an item that has haste already
# Jan 01 2004 at 5:04 PM Rating: Decent
Now can you add this to an item that already has haste. Like a fbss 21% haste can you add this making it a 57% haste does anyone know. Thank you

Only if by some magical fluke you are able to make the aug slot on your FBSS type 3

Ok - If i get this aug (don't need too many more AP) does it or does it not stack with a haste that say an enchanter casts on me. This might be repeat question but I am still unsure.
Thank you.

Ok - I have read other posts and haste (worn) does stack with haste (cast). If you have two haste (worn) items only the highest haste (worn) will take effect. I will be the proud owner of this aug soon. Have a great Holiday Season!

Yopuca have 3 different hastes at once. Worn haste. Spell haste. And two (not all) bard songs stack with both worn and spell haste.

Now you can wear more than one haste item. And you can even have more than one spell haste cast on you, but only the best haste from each class will work.

RE: Stacking issue
# Dec 27 2003 at 9:40 AM Rating: Default
For monks. haste is a bit tricky.

1 Epic is 40 ro 41pct haste.

2. Worn haste. Time has a 46pct haste item, Several 41pct and 36pct haste itmes available, including a 36pct Haste aug for 1150 adventure points. (type 3 slot).

3. Spell haste. (this gets tricky). some spells will stack with epic, some won't. The best in the game is the Chanter epic clicky...Speed of Shissar. That around 70pct haste. some hastes that don't stack with epic may stack with other spells. -mot many, but Celerity and talisman of alacrity I believe will stack, but will block epic.

5. Bard haste. Bard songs will stack with epic. 2 songs will stack above 100pct max haste for a grand 125pct haste.

6. Now, if you got monk epic plus chanter clickky Speed of Shissar and any decent haste item, it all seems to stack and will give you the 125haste.
NOt sure, but my dmg list does get really fast with that combo. The new Disc FOCUS OF SPEED stacks on everything and for just about any normal mob, if ya got really good weapons and dps to start with, the mob will sucumb really fast.

*as a side note, once I was battling a mini named in LDON and the tank went down. I used Focus of Speed to bring the mob down pretty fast, then used Earthwalk while the mob enraged and the rest of the party finished it off. (used all my other defensive disc too and mend, but we killed it with no more deaths in group).

Sorry, but I think you are mistaken. While the effect on Celestial Fists will appear to stack with other haste spells (ie. doesn't get overwritten by Speed of Shissar) the haste portions dont actually stack. The haste effect on celestial fists will be superceded by the haste effect on any Chanter haste you get. So in other words, this isn't a means of getting 125% haste. The other effects on Celestial Fists will stack.
RE: Stacking issue
# Feb 16 2004 at 10:02 PM Rating: Decent
In any event, without a bard. Monks can max haste at 110pct and rogues at 105pct. Everyone else can max at 100pct.

Not sure if that means with bard overstackng haste songs if monks can get to 135 haste, or if still stuck at 125 haste. I want the new 3/11 crafted h2h from Gates of Discord....UBAH....!!

chain class haste helm

Incorporeal Helm of the Specter (Augmented)
MAGIC ITEM LORE ITEM NO DROP
Slot: HEAD
AC: 29
STR: +6 DEX: +5 STA: +4 WIS: +4
HP: +155 MANA: +75 SV DISEASE: +7 SV MAGIC: +7
SV POISON: +7
Recommended level of 65.
Effect: Haste (Worn)
WT: 2.0 Size: SMALL
Class: RNG ROG
Race: ALL
Slot 1, type 2: Glowing Sapphire of Courage
Slot 2, type 2: Glowing Sapphire of Courage
Slot 3, type 3: Gravestone Fragment of Flailing DeadDone

so thats
1492 points in miraguls for the helm
1150 points in mistmoore for the haste aug
2300 points in Takish for 2x 40hp augs

would allow rangers and rogues to bag epic weapon haste while only losing 5% as far as haste goes (wish theyd make ragebringer ranged also!! >.<)

Something im considering since 41% haste items in E-planes are fairly rare, and in order to obtain one it takes a ton of raiding the few targets that drop them and saving/passing on other upgrades to be ontop of the dkp list in order to win the bid (dkp guilds) and if you dont want to wait or have a nice neck item and dont want to go after the woven shim choker from Xanamech this is one alternative..

one more thing , Allahs has the helm listed as having 3 slots... types 1, 2 and 3 , Magelo has it as 3 slots... types 2, 2 and 3 so the hitpoints may be - 40 but ya could still add a 20hp or 25hp , I beleive it is type one aug making it either 135 or 140 which is still not to shabby

doesn't matter seing as all the bought augments I have seen or heard of are LORE therefore you can only ever have one of each. If they weren't lore it would be awesome though -- you could max FT alot easier and/or stack multiples of the uber stat augs or HP/Mana augs.

Cheap alternative
# Oct 24 2003 at 7:25 PM Rating: Default
That grey flesh belt thingy is nice but i belive its 30wins in SRO to get that nice belt. I found only one other quick cheap alternative to get this Haste on you asap... there is a 192 AP in NRO cloak that suprisingly has type 1 and type 3 aug slots. Now the cloak is not very powerfull only something like 8ac with very minor stats and some resists you can look it up by checking NRO zone loot list for the AP merchants and looking up 192 items. This is neat beacuse the higher point costing cloak at 510ap only has 3 type 1 slots ? If this is a mistake or not its the only item i have found that you can put this beauty of a haste aug on with out having to fork out 760 for a helm in EF or 1492 AP for a belt in SRO though the combos for higher points are higher stats those looking for a quick 36percent haste fix can try this combo as the cheapest to get 36percent haste... I mean you will lose stats but with the right augs it would = a CoF at least ... Though i agree with past posts that for this to really make an uber haste item you should save points for a big tkt item to put the haste in still this is an option for those wanting higher haste asap.

# Oct 31 2003 at 1:56 AM Rating: Decent
actually the gray flesh belt is only 510pts in Buthcerblock not South Ro. as I have it and this augment in it heh.

RE: Update

Type 7 aug slots only accept augs that fit in any type slot (and augs listed as type 7, although I'm not sure there are any).
Type 3 augments do NOT fit in type 7 slots.

I bought this and aug haste to it, Belt of Gray Flesh +8 AC +12 Sta +10 Agi +10 Wis +10 Int +55 HP +45 Mana +0.10 Wt, You can also aug either 10AC or 25 hitpoints to it. This eats CoF alive now that i can wear a 50AC plus adds back pieace on my Pally
does it stack?
# Oct 12 2003 at 2:19 PM Rating: Decent
ok lets say i got a 41% haste item dose it stack up to 77% haste?

thanks for answering my newbie question :)
RE: does it stack?
# Oct 13 2003 at 5:16 PM Rating: Default
This is a worn haste effect, just like you'd find on an FBSS, SCHW, Cloak of Flames, etc. Since none of those items stack with each other, I'd say it's 99.9999999999999999% likely that this does not stack with any other haste effect either. (The only reason I didn't make it 100 would be because I don't own one myself... but it would make no sense for these to stack.)
Why can't it go in a Chest Slot?

It's not a chest slot item dude, it's also rough to find equipment in the slots listed that can hold a Type 3 Augment (unless it's a weapon type). So the toughest part of this comes down to where ya going to put it when you get it? Also don't waste your time putting it in an item you plan on hastily upgrading as you won't get the augment stone back when you do.

Bows generally would be the best item to stick it on since most of them are tradable, enabling item transfers or sales. Also most decent bows you won't change out too quickly unless you are a Ranger.

Most augments make an item no drop. Doesn't matter what piece you decide to use. Make sure you love the item now, because you dont want to loose the augment to upgrade.

sorry to burst your bubble man,. u CAN NOT put a type 3 augment in any slot otehr than type 3,. the only type of augment that can go into more than one type of slot is the augs listed as any slot

it would be nice if it were true,. il love to put some type 3 things like see invis or regen 5 and whatnot in all my empty type 7 slots from oldworld gear ,. but alas there is a reason why they made teh slot types

type 3 augs only fit in type 3 slots,. or the whole system would kinda be,. well,. useless, and we would all be way to powerfull,. i think verent wants to keep us from kilin oldworld gods solo,. and they especialy wanna avoid single groups from kilin PoP bosses
