Wis and Int?
# Sep 29 2003 at 9:20 AM Rating: Decent
Why bother having an augmentation with both Wis and Int? As far as I see it, the only reason why that happens in the game now is so both Wis and Int casters can use the same item (allowing for more classes to use it) but if I am *buying* the augment, I should know which of the two I need for my class...

The other bad thing about this...is that its a slot 2 agument...so not only is one of the two stats crap, since it has 2 stat adjustments it cant go onto any old world items (or at least very few).

Thats an excellent point. One of the stats is a total and complete waste.

i dunno my jewlcrafting chanter can use as much wis as she can get. at the moment im getting rid of most of my int only gear to replace with equal wis/int or really high wis for higher success rates while crafting.

You're wasting your time. Wisdom has no effect on success rates.

The HIGHEST of wisdom OR intelligence is used in determining your SKILLUP rate.

The only things that affect success rate is current skill, skill mod items like geerlok, and in the case of JC, the enchanter JC aa. (And of course, the trivial of the item you are attempting).

a question
# Sep 26 2003 at 6:53 PM Rating: Excellent
alright, although i am well above the recommended level of this item, i was wondering, if i put a recommended lvl item on an item with no recommended lvl, would the other stats on the non recommended lvl item drop too?

not an issue with my main, but curious, none the less.

yes. The item will assume the stats of the augment -- including rec level, dropping the stats on the item.

Honestly a good question. No personal experance with this reconmended issue but if you ration it out they are two seperate items that just sit in the same spot. One Prime example is the purchased charms you can get at all the camps. They only work in the LDoN zones but any aug you have in them is always in effect.
