I've never had any illusion items and from reading some of what people were saying from the other illusion items that u can use some of these items from your inventory i was wondering if i could use this from my inventory

you must wear it in your face slot.
right click on that slot to use it.
you can at that point remove it and destroy it, it is no longer of use, you will still be in halflng form. Put on your previous face item.
you can do the quest again to go and get another one as often as you like, for some VERY good evil race possible faction raising ;) Too bad you are still kos to halfling clerics even with it on as a dark elf cleric though =/ so you can't raise that faction.

yeah even thou you have an illusion the NPC will still know your diety so any halfling clerics wandering around worshipping Innoruk, well they know your a DE (or at least evil or something) and will still attack.
If any of the race/class combos that can wear this can be agnostic then it's the perfect illusion.

yes, but faction is set by 3 factors: race, class, and/or religion. So if you are a Dark elf Necroomancer of Innoruuk, for example... that's a triple hit to your halfling faction. However illusions serve to boost up the racial faction. While illusions will not always trick them entirely, it will assuredly raise your faction at least some with the race of any given city.
Illusions boost your faction, they dont correct it, so you wont necessarily get attacked just because you worship Innoruuk, it's all a matter of what your true faction is.

Problem with that however is that Verant made this an Innoruuk Shm/Clr only Quest... ;)

You can't use the mask if you can wear the mystic cloak. Look again at the classes.

Hehehe, I carry one of these around just for the effect it has on it, which brings up my question. If I use the illusion can it get me into places that I'd normally be KOS like highhold pass, also does it allow me to sell to merchants that would normally not sell to me. If so this would be a great item to carry around to allow passage through good cities and to conduct buisness with good vendors.

Yes, this item is awesome. You can get it at a very low-level, it only takes about 15-20 minutes to procure, and with it you can run free through the "good" cities.
For example, my Troll Shaman (follower of Innoruuk) just used it to go into North Freeport and buy medium banded molds he needs for the Totemic Armor quests. Normally he'd be KOS to the merchants, but with this illusion on they're indifferent to him!
Ok, enchanters are probably going "what's the big deal?" but this item is pretty significant for a shaman or cleric. Only balance, of course, is that's it's LORE, has only one charge, and the effect drops after zoning, meaning your character will need Invisibility to get into and out of cities like Kaladim.

Maximum use of this item is to get a ton of faction raising items for a quest first, then go to the quest area in the halfling form and do the quest. If you are in luck, your faction will be high enough you won't need to use the mask again.
My dark elf did this is south qeynos where she is threaten by default to the qeynos int casters. She collected tons fo the ingredients for the Unsers call quest (this site, south qeynos) used halfling form to turn them into the guy outside caster's guild, got to warmly in halfling form and was indiff then in dark elf.
I also used it in EC to buy tons o cloth shirts from a Commons Resident faction vendor who would not sell to me otherwise, give them to altuni jardin to raise pally and north freep cleric guid. I'm now at indiff to north freeport cleric guild while in dark elf form, which is much nicer for buying my spells then running to the third zone of neriak (and they don't have all the cleric spells in the dismal rage sewer =/ ) I was max allied to knights of truth pallys forever until I was indiff with the clerics. Killing orcs there raises commons residents but it was taking forever, I am at apprehensive to them now without the mask though.
My only kos faction in freeport is that one little gnome guy now at the jewelry place. My only dubious one is arcane scientists because I don't want to lower dismal rage or opal darkbriar to raise it.
I have no kos surface factions now in qeynos, in fact my lowest faction there is indiff I think (the int casters) I am max kos to bloodsabres in the sewers, from raising various qeynos factions in lots of ways ;)

It will alter your factions somewhat, but probably not get you beyond dubious. I am a Troll and have used it to go to Surefall Glade for weddings. I am Dubious to most in there with it on.
im not so sure. THIS MASK and about 40 runny eye war beads could let my troll SHM welcomed for a halfling pot luck... nearly ALL troll shaman quests SUCK, at least this... is fun...

I am thinking of using it for mystic cloak quest will it be enough to raise my faction from scowl to dubious ?
