Seems that I am unable to purchase this spell in Everfrost. Lvl 57 wizard 200+ points in EF. Pictures shows it only for a ENC(44). What's up with this?

Ok..as of May 25, 2005 here is the latest update on this spell...the Nec version is in EF idon camp. The Wizzy version is in EC idon camp and the mage version we are still trying to find...lolol Requires 72 idon points. The wizzy version only last 30 sec at first so working on that one--maby linked to skill level

Hi..My main is a Mage....This is my hubby's account lol, and I bought mine in EF a while ago, I am having problems getting my Calliav LDON spells.....Seems EQ nerfed them to Necro only. I have the points in the camps that have them......Or Alla's isn't up to date on the avdpts needed......Just sucks that a Necro can buy Ward of Calliav for 150 advpts, but a Mage needs higher :o(....MAGIC ITEM NO TRADE

seems like it is a perfect spell for pulling, you usually don't take more than 16sec to get back to group, and while group kills mob your 2 min reset is probably done. The only draw back I see if the mob can cast root, sicne it would suck if it roots itself, defeats the pull.

Would seem that way, wouldn't it? Earlier in the discussion, we saw that this spell has a 40% chance of reflecting. Hmm... so 60% of the time you may as well be casting your pre-teens DD's that won't do anything just to get agro and get nuked/rooted/mezzed whatever.
However, lets explore the 40% of the time it works: you bounce a nuke back to the mob, its like pulling then nuking before the mob gets back to the group... hmmm tell me you don't nuke on a normal pull when the mob is at 100% and has yet to be taunted once?

Don't use this spell to agro caster mobs for a pull. Oh, and by the way, 2 ticks is 12 seconds, not 16.

LOOOONNNNNGGGGGGG recast time ... takes forever to set .. and then when casting ... it is quick but spell last very short time :( .. BUT on raid when mob is casting AOE.. it is nice that it will reflect off of you and onto the mob .. especially when it's a wopper of a damage spell .. hehe

Just wondering if this can be used while messing around with friends or if it is limited to NPCs only. Could be a rather useful spell if your in a Duel and you notice that your are being casted on:)

...are you unable to do anything like in the case with the Cleric invulnerability line of spells? Or can you cast an offensive spell while this one is active?

This spell is one of two things:
1) Broken
2) The biggest load of <insert epletive(s) here> for this expansion...

What this doesn't show here:

If I'd known this, I'd of saved that 72 points and gotten somthing better. :(

ok yes this isnt the god spell of all times but if you use it wisely it can be the difference of life and death

it has a 1.5sec cast time and the spells that a NPC casts on you sometimes can be 1500hp dmg but the key is it takes them the same amount of time to cast their spells as it does us. so if you are fighting a lvl 65 wizard mob who starts to cast some huge DMG spell you can cast your 1.5 sec bounce spell wich will give you 3 advantages 1st you might not take the 2750dmg Strike of Solusek in the face. 2nd you buy yourself a few extra seconds for the MA to taunt it off you and 3rd youll do 2750dmg to the mob in return for a measly 100 mana

but in a regular situation im sure this spell wont be memmed on a regular basis

As a Necro, I dont see much use for this spell. I have enough trouble finding the best rack of spells for the situation at hand as it is. While I do see a situations where I could benefit from this spell it would need to have a permanant slot in my spell rack and I just dont have one to offer. I Think it would sit in the in my spell book and rarely, if ever, get memed.
Maybe someone will find special situations where it really shines, but i'll wait untill then to get it

If you bounce back a spell like sunstrike or strike of Solusek there is no way in hell your MA is going to taunt that mob off you if its still alive. especialy if its a SK or Pally taunting. My taunt is maxed and i cant taunt Jack s^%t Even with the hate increasing spells i have not to mention i can do more dmg than a Warrior of my lvl because of my gear and spells. Point being if you use this on a wizard mob and it works... at those lvls your talking about. Your dead. 8 times out of 10 i bet

SK taunt is the absolute BEST of any melee class (including hybrids of course) with the possible exception of Paladins.

If you, as a Shadowknight, cannot maintain aggro on a mob, you don't know how to properly play your class.

Just a tip here, but hate-increasing spells are NOT the way to go when trying to maintain aggro; the darkness line of spells will make it virtually impossible for a caster to grab aggro from you, unless they are doing something stupid like chain-casting Tash or something like that. Just make sure that any pesky druids or wizards you are grouped with don't snare mobs and ruin your best line of aggro-maintaining spells.

IF you were guaranteed to reflect that wizzie mob's nuke, no doubt it would be a "must have" spell. But it says there's a CHANCE of reflection, i.e. probably unlikely. And thus it will sit in the back of the spellbook.

Anybody got numbers on how often it reflects, and how often not?

40% success rate. So not bad.

Situationally useful such as when you are about to Pacify an enchanter mob and have no desire to be Charmed, Tashed, DOTed or Nuked.

Yea I got excited first day of LDON and bought the spell for wizzy. I cast tit on myself and it immediately started to fade. Its not broken at all just a pos spell.

Does this mean that if you have this up and a chanter casts clarity on you there is a chance it will reflect back to the chanter.
