LDoN Bracer
# Oct 04 2003 at 4:13 AM Rating: Decent
Greetings.
Well I wonder as the first person.
Well if the augment itself is lore then you can only have one of it. I guess they do an "deep_inventory" check when they are checking your inventory list, and then they will see you have one FT2 stone allready, and you cannot purchase another one.
This kinda blew my plans for my cleric. I had plans to make some really nice bracers but I can still get good ones. But it is _a lot of_ adventures you need to do to get one.
Take a "Royal Attendant Bracer of the Sand"
AC:28 STR 5 STA 4 AGI 5 HP 70 MANA 70 DR 3 PR 3 CR 3 MR 5. Augment slots type 2, type 2 , type 3.
Put in a FT 2 augment(as above) in slot type 3 and then 2* 40 mana stones and you will have a bracer with
FT 2 and 150 Mana

Bracer........1492
FT 2 augment .1150
40 Mana stone 1150
40 Mana stone 1150
Total.........4942 AP *ugh!*

Well if you have the time and effort this is one hell of a bracer to put on a caster.

Well happy hunting out there.
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 25 2003 at 11:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ...is whether the aug itself is LORE, or whether it simply makes the item it is placed in LORE. If the aug itself is, then this is of limited (though still valid) use, since you can only make a single item FT 2. If it only makes the item LORE, then you can hope to have 2 (or more) AP purchased items with FT 2.

The aug is lore. If you have one, whether on an item or not, you can not purchase another.
Type 3?

Ok maybe it is just me but I have never seen anything that was actually flagged for type 3. Has anyone seen anything out there that was type 3?

Many new items bought with AP (adventure points) have the new types, so far I've seen necklaces that have type 3 for about 60 AP in everfrost. On my warrior I'm saving 150 MM AP for the Death Embracer's BP, which has type 1 and type 3. Just do more adventures at a single camp (i would suggest evefrost for int casters) and rack up dem AP's !

-- on this particular aug stone, this is great Smiley: waycool but many are discouraged from the high number...just think that 65's get 50 AP per dungeon, so thats about 23 success for this, so one or two (pending how much you play) good weekend and yah got yerself a FT II item

[edit - redid math and Still is right (/em smacks forehead - do'h) I usually get about 6 dungeons on a hardcore day... but since people already have done 150+ dungeons it just really depends on playing style.]

150 the guy on tarew mar who was ranked number one yesterday which was 8 days after release lets see 8 times 24 hour is 192 hours sense release give or take 12 hours but he had 192 wins and 4 he lost which is 196, am i missing something because I just don't see how they run through these so fast because that averages out to about one an hour 24 and 7. does he sleep? with a great group takes me 45 mins not counting running to advent from camp and buffing, even keeping second group at advent zone line just to buff how do these people do this.

you should also calculate in if he did any raids and not just adventures. at 65 raids give you about 100 ap's per run

Actually they give 30 points, and points do absolutely nothing for your standing.

However, the time geared groups can zip through though dungeons in less then 20 minutes. It wouldn't be THAT hard for him if he is in a time or elemental guild, really.

50 x 12 = 600
It would take 23 successful adventures if you're getting 50 points each.
90 minutes per adventure, though you can often finish much faster with a good group, that's offset by the time needed to gather said group together, downtime between missions etc.
Approximately 36 hours of play time for a level 65 to get this item, give or take.
Not to mention the adventure points needed to buy a decent piece of gear that can take a type 3 aug. The death embracers chest place is nice sure, but not for a level 65 with half decent gear.
Point is...might take more than one good weekend, is all I'm saying.

dang wish i was getting 50 points an adv. i get 20-22 each that like 50-60 * 90 minutes = to much time in eq

Ldon items cost way too much ... that's good because it doesnt remove the point in being in a guild to raid with, but it makes it 'possible' to be a guildless casual and have some fun as well.
The rewards in Ldon are not just APs, you also get decent aas and decent pp loot, and a few semi-useless spells through APs. Imo, not many people will get those 1500AP gear with 3 1000+ AP augments that roughly equal Time loot, but still, Ldon wasn't intended to make progression towards Time useless, so it's fine.

I think they cost just about right, I mean if you get to the levels that normaly have FT items you are already spending a bunch of time on EQ, so whats 20-odd dungeons to you?
