many of the augs have different #'s to the slot they can go in - not like chest, neck etc but the actual # slot for an item. Like a +2 mana regen aug I got I had do go out & buy a new tunic for my druid because could only go in a slot 3 or something like that & most tunics dont. Had to get the new tunic with adv points too. Yet a more expensive aug only had a +1 mana regen but could go in a normal druid chest item. Hense the difference in alot of augs & their prices.
Why would anybody buy this? Eternal ice of reconstruction has identical stats except for a lower ap cost and a lower required lvl. Is there something I don't see?
/sigh....amm look at the post on the same site and see they are identical (both are worn).

They're both lore. The assumption being you buy the cheap one... and then later (because you can never have enough regen when you're a [fill in the name of your class that gets beat on waaaay too much]) you get this one at a slightly higher cost so you can have regen 4. It's to offer you more regen without having you go hog wild and making a suit of armor with regeneration XLV.
You cannot add 2 of the same augment to the same item, I believe you can have as many of the same augment that you can buy, just can't add 2 to the same item. The only difference I can see is the Recomended level, the one that costs less is 50 and the one that costs more is 55. Really, not sure what is up with these two, strange.
Re-read the parent post that you were replying to. He was talking about applying two DIFFERENT augments, with the SAME EFFECT to two DIFFERENT pieces of armor.
The point is that this and the other Regen2 item can both be used by one character. This is done all over the place in LDON, and determining where to put augments can be very difficult, and takes carefull planning.
