From my point of view this weapon is a good weapon on delay. For a 2 hand weapon, this is one of the fastest one you can find. From my experience, if mob runs and you starts chasing it, it is desire to have a faster weapon than a slow one. So if you are from a mini guild seldom Raid, this is a good weapon for you.

Please explain how this would be out that item listed? The Saryn staff is 45/35.. This, even aug would be 38/32 at best, and that would be with another 1100 or so points invested.
Saryn staff stat wise and dmg/dly wise owns this thing. Although I do agree, that if you are not in a guild that raids. Or you can not farm money to buy better. It would be a decent item.
Although https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=17983 runs for about 13 to 20kpp on The Rathe server. So, if you ask me. I would rather spend the 13 to 20kpp or get lucky in BoT.. Then spend 3k adv points on something that will always be sub-par..

Time worn desert blade better dps stats and about 400 points cheaper :p

Has anyone actually seen the graphic for this spear? If so, how does it look, or do you have a pic you can post?

As soon as I saw this I was praying the wurmslayer would have a slot 6, but it doesn't. It only has slot 4. I wonder how many items are gonna have a slot 6? LDON items only?
I think the Freezing Nickel Fragment only works on weapons that have 30 or more delay. It adds +2 Cold Damage and +1 Bane Damage:Undead

Get some clue...this item is crap IF you dont put any aug in it, which might cost you another 20hours or more playing, you can find something better than this easily in SolC or Vek within hour of playing.
So if you dont plan to commit like 50hours of playing (including spear) JUST for a weapon, dont even bother drool.

So 38/32 (with the slot 6 +3 damage augment) would not be worth 40 hours of doing LDoN's? Not to mention there are the drops IN the dungeons, plus good cash loot and exp.
Plus, with two slots left, you could add a nice lifetap, or DD and cap it off with the +5 all resists aug that fits all slots.
Does that match up to PoTime gear? NO, but this is something an UNGUILDED, or non raid guild char can get, without having to get flagged, and build up DKP, etc....

This item plus the 3 damage aug beats out https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=17336 (saryns greatstaff of mysery). For straight combat. The only thing keepign the greatstaff in my hands is the mana/hps and stats. But someone saying it isnt worth while is a little batty.

Man, ppl are going to be playing for 50 hours anyway. This is a reward just for playing the game, not for camping for shards, killing x y and z mobs just to get into Uber_Zone_25. You get good stuff for doing what you will be doing anyway. Sony is doing something VERY right, /cheer
