Why the complaint?

Well since type 2 slots are multy augment slots and you get 2 of them this could become absolutely fantastic. Imaging picking up a Augment with +5 STR and +5 To a resist. Then getting another with +4 Wis and + 4 AGI. There are alot of possibilities out there to improve this and since they allow for custamization this and many other items like it are going to be popular. And as nice as Planar groups are these can be done over time that DOSENT have to be spent raiding. I dont konw about you but I dont enjoy spending 9 hours on a poorly organized raid only to lose out on the 1 items I was hopeing to get because I rolled a 120 out of 1000. This is something that is garenteed all you have to do is put in some time that you can spread out. Personally I think as it sits this items is fantastic. And can see spending the points on it when I have enough.
What is up with SOE?

Pretty much everything I've seen so far that's purchased with Adventure points is all recommended lvl of 65. What is up with that? Also, why have them with such stats, when most of the planar stuff is higher quality? Somebody got their heads stuck in their butts when they created this stuff.

On the level 65 thing... let's take this item as an example.

First off, it requires 760 APs.

Unless you're in the 50s or higher, that's a staggering amount, and if you're not living in LDON, you should probably start working on the APs for this when you're in your 50s anyways.

Given that most people want more than one thing (like entire sets of armor, new spells, augments for resists and/or stats and/or AC and/or focus effects and/or FT and/or combat focus...) there's plenty to spend that intervening AP pool on while you level.

Somehow I fail to see the hardship.

What's more, the stats on this are not at all dissapointing.

Time-capable guilds are going to want to raid LDON for type-8 augments.

Elemental-capable guilds should be raiding LDON for other gear.

Pre-elemental players can do LDON groups for AA and fine items like this (yes, with two type-2 slots this is at least a tempting item to your average pre-elemental toon for non-focus gear).

People who aren't even ready for teir-3 zones (and there are a LOT of them) will be able to gear themselves up nicely with LDON while getting the AA and/or levels that they need to play on par with others on their server.

LDON was intended to level the playing field a bit and allow everyone to get to the point that they could get some of the best gear from the first few planes and/or get lesser guilds into places like NToV, VT and tier-3 sub-zones.

Remember, not everyone who is 60-65 is geared/AAed up to do high-end zones.

Some people aren't happy unless they are complaining. I say quit complaining and play the game or please just go away. Complainers are annoying. Would they be happier if the game didn't exist at all?

actually if it wasnt for complainers the game wouldnt have changed since it was released... people complain about bug and stuff that is pretty much useless. what people are trying to say about this is that even items you can buy with not a ton of AP is mostly recomended lvl 65, and just about no one at lvl 65 would even equip it because they have better. they should at least lower the recomended lvl on some of the lower quality items you can buy. i personally think they have gone trigger happy with the whole recomended lvl thing. i see drops out of dungeons that most lvl 50's wouldnt even equip and they are rec lvl 60+. the equipment that they are coming out with now is verry ubah, take a step back 3 years, and imagin having a couple pieces that now days go for not even 100p because of the rec lvl and they drop so much (weight polearm, mace of fallen crusader, etc). they need to take a step back and rethink the equipment for lower lvl chars, because while higher end chars are getting better and better equipment the lower lvls are pretty much stuck with the same junk drops. point being... if a level 30 can save and earn enough points to get something like this, they actually EARNED it by themselfs why cant they use it to its fullest? i mean its NO DROP isnt it? not like someone can give it to a twink. isnt everything off of adventure vendors no drop anyways?? this is what people are talking about.
