The maul mentioned above does not drop off RZ but rather VZ in Tactics.
Knight's Blessing proc
# Dec 13 2004 at 1:40 AM Rating: Decent
On one hand it should be a better Weapon but pretty good for a LDoN drop, I got this as a drop and I was useing a Mace of Dark Glory with the same Proc and a Brightstar Buckler. I sorta wish that I had not spent so much on a attunable (no-drop) Shield. I often 3 to 4 box with 6 accounts on 4 computers. So I find that to get full use of the shield I must hit Bash etc. So in a way I would rather have a awesome 2 hdr. Plus, like the old D&D "to hit" rules, I think a weapon with higher Dmg hits mobs with Higher AC better. It seems so to me.

The Mace of Dark Glory also has great stats and I added a 50 HP Vampire proc to it from the BB LDoN. That procs more then the Knight's Blessing but together they can at times heal him completely. I wish Pallies etc could put a proc on their Shields. They get a little screwed on that.

I'm not a great upper level player etc but I know of another 2ndr staff a higher level Guildmate has with much greater stats and the same Knight's Blessing on it. It is called the Resplendent War Maul and beyound what I can ever get.

I have been playing since the beginning of EQ and this would have been considered a awesome weapon but with so many "super" weapons today it does not stand out. However, I like the concept of being able to heal myself and I almost have enough LDoN points for the 75 HP Vampire Kiss which I will put on the hammer of Silent Screams. I have really stressed Dex in Augs and AA's so I proc flairly well.

Still, I am a Dmg taker rather then a Dmg dealer. But if you do like I do sometime and cut some chars items to the bone ( moneywise ) , this Free to 1,500pp weapon is a good deal.

Btway, I also believe in two more things, "old school" weapons and also Aug procs proc more often then most newer weapons do and I LOVE weapons with two Procs.

While on Procs and Pallies. Putting one on a Bow is useless since they shot so poorly. And also with my Rangers, I do not want the proc to break the root I might be useing. However, my Rangers do also carry that free bow that the EQ Event Skels drop with a Vampire Talon proc on it so i can heal myself while running and shooting, lol.

Yes, I do ramble.

Speaking of heal augs from BB - there are a 100 HP lifetap and also a 125 HP lifetap availible on DoN Merchents. Right now I have a natural 75 HP lifetap and a DoN aug for 100 HP lifetap and am able to keep myself around 90-100% health on mobs between level 60 and 65. Once I hit level 70 i'm going to get the 125 HP lifetap aug as well. With current Healing AA's i'm able to crit for just under 500 heals and constantly for nearly 200. Worth looking into since you're healing AA's are probably greater potency...

Get it in Fennin ro bazaar for as low as 200's, just got one, min proc is40 and right now it's 25/39 which isn't bad. I testedd it on greens so far and it procs very often but they never brought me low enough to test the full extent of the proc. I personally like the graphic and think that it is preferable to what the inventory icon suggests. I use war masrshalls and two-tined corpse pitchfork for the most part and this is nice too
Sigh.. the good old days..
# May 24 2004 at 7:57 PM Rating: Decent
My boyfriend bought this in the bazaar over the weekend, and I really enjoy seeing the old spell effect graphic for the heal when it procs, as opposed to the new spell effects when I cast.

My lvl 25 pally get the "your will is insufficient message" since the patch. Anybody know what they changed the proc level to?

Doesn't proc for my level 35 now either. You'd think a hammer would be more powerful than a nerf-bat.....

Confirmed the proc level mentioned above. It is 40 now. Glad I didn't have to wait very long.

Useful Always?
# Jan 04 2004 at 11:55 AM Rating: Decent
I am a paladin of the 27th level and I was wondering if this hammer will be all i need until level 55+. I have used it from level 1, and the recommemded level of 55 does bother me, as right now the dmg stat on the weapon is only 17. I hit for about 80 with 128 str. Is this weapon able to serve me all my days in EQ? Just wondering if i should save up for another weapon, or just keep this and buy better armor as i progress.

Recommended damage only applies to pvp.
RE: Useful Always?
# Jan 23 2004 at 4:05 PM Rating: Decent
Since you are a twink, or a really lucky new eq player, you can use this at least to 55 if you cant or dont get something better (Windblade, raid, etc).

The heal saves mana in AE fights.

It is the same proc on the old 1hs from Chardok, Jeldorin.

It is also on the Rallos Zek drop maul.

If you are a twink you might consider the Jeldorin, as you dont get the extra 2h damage bonus until level 51.

Jeldorin + a Sarnak Battle Shield or even a Tae Ew Shield if you don't mind the 'car door' graphic.

Last I heard Jeldorin doesn't proc until at least 49, though. I got the hammer for 300pp in bazaar and couldn't be happier with it on my level 10 pally.

sweet
# Jan 02 2004 at 3:06 PM Rating: Decent
picked one up for 2k or so, was only one left in bazaar - its proc rate is nice, about 2 times a fight. I personally like the graphic kind of unusual. Anyway, very sweet proc and weapon imho.

I just started 10 days ago, and this thing keeps my pally alive just about anywhere where the cons are light blue, lvl 16 pally, heals for 181 every every 30 seconds sometimes. but the attack delay for me is horrid. i got a skill of 53 in 2h blunt, will my attack spend eventually increase making this a weapon i keep all the way to 65? i'm a froglok pally btw
RE: newb got a cool toy
# Feb 05 2004 at 6:51 AM Rating: Decent
Two handed weapons are always slower than 1h until you get raid drops in PoP. Even then you want to shoot for no less than 28 delay as the damage bonus for lvls 51+ become like 1 handers.

Speaking of damage bonus, read what I said to the other person on this page.

You will not receive max benefits from a 2 hander until you reach level 51 when the 2 handed damage bonus kicks in.

Generally 2hdr is better than 1hdr in damage.

More damage = mob dead faster = you alive with less mana used and more hp left.

Until you get the ability to 2 hand bash with epic or AA, it is wise to keep a shield and 1hdr to bash casters.

It sounds like you had friends to "twink" you.

I am surprised that the effect works at such a low level.

That is overpowering.

#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 21 2003 at 5:08 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I won this on a BB adventure. We had 2 drop within the same adventure =) and I won the second roll as the Paladin in the group was given the first. I put this on my little baby Paladin of 9 levels and WOW! Skill was 0 and was in PC by my lonesome. Procced 6 times during my first fight and each proc was equiv to a CH at that level. I am going to continue to use this hammer after each of my other melee skills is maxxed per level. Hits hard and procs enuff that is a superb weapon IMO.
Got it today =)

Just got this one tonight. I am a 55 Paladin in a group with a Rogue (who left the adventure early on), Cleric (55), Druid (60+), Shammy (60+), and Chanter (58). I ended up being the only DPS after the Rogue left early like a wuss. The Adventure was in MMC and was a slaughter 56. It dropped from a Bloodguard Bloodtamer. She was easy as cake with stuns and slows going. Pally's make sure you have your level 54+ stuns cause she is immuned to the others.

This dropped while on a Mistmore Catacombs slaughter mission with toons ranging from 58 to 65.

I won this on a ffa roll, and wielded it for a few minutes to test it out (my 2hb skill is maxed, btw). The dam/delay really isn't that great, but it would probably be a nice weapon to train 2hb if you don't have anything better.

It didn't seem to be proc'ing all that much. It procs about as often as Light of Nife. With particle effects turned on, there wasn't any noticeable particle effects upon proc'ing. All you get is "{insert-your-name} heals YOU for xx" spam.

It sold fast in the bazaar for 1kpp.

Just bought this in Bazaar for 900p.

This item is amazing at level 52 it procs like mad.

It heals so well that this with having Divine Purpose I solo the Ice Giants in Everfrost Peals with out having to stop to heal.

I fight them as fast as they will spawn and I have already earned 1kpp in a few hours weilding this.

In short this is one of the best 2HB's I have ever seen you get a good ratio, some mana and HP and saves, Plus a really good proc.

Before this I was saving for a Jeldorin no need to now this item is great for tanking in groups as well. I hit for over 100 easily.

Just got this weapon last night, and its a pretty good weapon. My 58 pally has it proc enough to keep him near full health even when he is the MT.
lvl for proc
# Sep 29 2003 at 1:46 AM Rating: Default
Not sure how low this procs, but I had a proc at lvl 43 on my Paladin with a 2hb skill of 2.
Works at 51 too
# Sep 16 2003 at 5:39 PM Rating: Decent
My level 51 pally loves the healing procs on this weapon. It procs 180 healing alot (as noted below)....it sometimes heals as little as mid 30 heals. Off too get my 2HB up to snuff :)
Effect
# Sep 14 2003 at 3:43 PM Rating: Decent
is the actual effect a heal or a buff to goes off on proc?

or remove the buff and it becomes a 180hp heal?

never had a paly, just wondering
RE: Effect
# Sep 15 2003 at 8:44 AM Rating: Decent
The effect is a 180 point heal that procs A LOT. It's a pretty sweet hammer that may look a little silly, but anything that is going to heal my butt during the fight is a plus.
