What If I Remove It

I've had my 10 successes in a camp, and sealed the stone to my Magenta Talisman charm. My question is what happens if I remove the augmentation or destroy the Talisman or something, 1) can I get a new Adventurer's Stone, and 2) Will it have the stat effects if a seal it with something else?
RE: What If I Remove It

If you remove the stone, all you have to do is Hail the NPC at the wayfarer camp that gives out the Adventurer's Stone originally. There is one in each camp. When you hail him, he/she will say something like "i see you have lost your stone" or something and you will be given a new one on your cursor. And yes, it will still have the same stats as before you removed it.

Ok, I got the stone, put it in a cheap Wisdom Charm from the MMC camp and then went on my merry way accumulating victories. I finally got to 10 in MMC with only 1 victory elsewhere. I went and hailed Vual enough and got the message about the stone glowing with more power or some such. I do not see even 1 HP/Mana in the charm or in the stone when I click on the aug link on the charm. This was all done with my 30th Cleric. I even then tried dissolving the stone and getting another to put in the charm and still nothing. Is it because I am a low level? Its the only thing I can think of.

I have 79 MM wins, and now when I hail Vual he tells me that he no longer has anything to tell me about the dungeons, and that I know more than he does at this point... I also have 55 Tak wins and my stats are still in the +2, +20 range... In the next few days I'll be able to tell where my Tak adventures cap out, and what the combined stats for both are... My 10 Ruj wins have not moved the stats on my stone to this point...

*update*

Tak portion of the stone maxed out at 76 wins... I don't know if that will be the same for each zone, or if there is some weight on difficulty of adventures or level... Working on Ruj now, so I guess we'll see...

Around Norrath are more adventure info types.. there is one, an Erudinite, outside the entrance to Blackburrow in Qeynos Hills, another in the southwest corner of Greater Faydark, and another in Lesser Faydark. Try talking to these once the adventure camps hold no more information for you.
RE: Ack! Still No Bonuses
# Jan 26 2004 at 8:55 AM Rating: Decent
Well it does say recomended level of 65 so for every level you are below 65 the stats will be reduced.

At 58 my warrior got 1hp/1mana with the first "boost" from it.However my druid at 65 who has done all the same adventures as my war got 2hp/2mana... so looks like at full value the first boost gives you a whopping 2 hp/mana. If you are only elvel 30 i doubt you would see any stats for a few "boosts" at least.. but they will grow as you level.

Ok, I got the your Adventurer's Stone has increased in power message when I completed my 10th adventure in MMC; however, my stone does not seem to have increased in power. There are absolutely no stats on it. I am a 27th level cleric. Do you have to be a certain level to get the stats?

Thanks

Adventurer's Stone won' fit into Intricate Wooden Figurine.
# Jul 26 2004 at 1:07 PM Rating: Decent
Just reached Lvl 51.So i got my Intricate Wooden Figurine and want to augment it with my Adventurers Stone(First strange Thing is : Everywhere i see the Adventurer's Stone i see it in Form of a green Gem but mine is showing a "white Collar" like the Crystalline Silk Threads from the Velketors Spiders) So i got the Intricate wooden Figurine and the Adventurer's Stone placing both in the Augment Sealer to aug the Figurine but i cant make it work.Everytime i place the Figurine in the Sealer the Combine Button greys out.The same is happening with the Adventurer's Stone or both together.Even Augs i got in LdoN Dungeons are greying out the Sealer Button.Items with Type 7 Slots are working but if i want to use a working Item with a LdoN Dungeon Aug the Sealer Button greys out again :( Doh. Any Idees what i'm doing wrong ?????

you will not see a power increase if the stone is not in a charm..hint if your in your 20s get a wayfarers charm as soon as you get 6 adv points..put the adv stone in it at the pool as soon as you get it..talk to one person in the camp he will give you information (after a while you may have to seek others outside the camp for more stat increases)..after 10 successes you will get a stat increase in your stone after you talk to the right person (have to open up the charm then click on the aug item in the picture to see the stat increases). Warning this happened to me, and i think its a bug..if you dont have the stone in a charm when you get
"the your stone has increased in power message" it will not increase stats and hence you have to do 10 more adv and then have the stone in the charm to get the message again and it will work then..ie doenst keep track if the stone is just in your inventory. it is every 10 adv in one theme dont let anyone tell you different. I hailed a gm on this as i was having the above problem he asked if I completed 10 adv at the same camp. It was his opinion that it was a bug that it doesnt give stat increases if you dont have the stone augmented in a charm (yes even after you put it in a charm the stat increases do not show up). Also the type of adventures (assinate, collect, slaughter, etc.) doenst matter its just if you completed it succesfully.

The stone is just an augmentation and you will not see the stats untill you put it into a charm. (I think it will only go into a charm).

Once you do that, you should see the stats... Be warned not to expect much.

Unless u get alot of dungeons or get at least 63 u won't see much out of it. I have completed 20+ adventures and still only have +2HP +2MANA on 56 chanter.

Many posters below say that you will see your first stat after you get 10 wins in any one theme.

I have read also that you will get one stat point in an attribute (str, sta, dex, etc) every time you get 10 in hps and mana.

That said, go out and get 100+ wins to see your first point in attributes, if I read correctly.

I also read that you didn't have to be level 65 to see the stat points.

Almost. Each set of ten is +2 hp/mana. You get your first stat points after 5 sets of ten wins. So you need 50 (in sets of ten in a theme) to get +1 to all stats.

After a while you start to get a bit more. Each theme has a different limit. 50s-60ish to get the max from one theme.

When To See Stats

At level 40, I got my 10th win in Rujark and I started to see stats finally. This means you do NOT have to be level 65 to see your stats, which some people thought with the Recommended Level on the stone. I also had 2 wins in Mistmore and 5 in Takish at the time, but did not get any stats until my 10th win in Rujark. This seems to verify that the first set of stats come after 10 wins in any one camp, and you don't have to be 65.

I got BOTH of the following messages after hailing Barstre Songweaver after the 10th success:

You have received an invaluable piece of information!
Your Adventurer Stone glows with more power as you gain stature with the Wayfarers Brotherhood.

The second sentence comes when you actually get new stats on your stone.

If you use a solvent to remove any augmentation, even this one, the augmentation is destroyed. However, if you have already completed the Adventurer's Stone quest, you can obtain a new one simply by hailing certain NPCs in any of the Wayfarers camps. You may then add the new stone to the charm of your choice. The stats are tied to your success in LDoN adventures, not to the stone itself, so destroying an old stone and getting a new one won't affect the stats.

Does anyone know the stat progression on this stone?

Right now I have 21 wins in MMC, 11 in Everfrost, 11 in Ruk and my adventure stone has HP and mana on it. I was just wondering how many adventures do I have to have before it starts getting the other stats, IE- INT, WIS etc.

Thanks.

RE: Stat Progression
# Dec 01 2003 at 11:17 AM Rating: Good
as far as i know for every 10 wins in a theme you will get 2 hp / 2 mana.

For every 10 hp / 10 mana you will also get 1 to each stat.

summary:
10 wins = 2 hp/mana
50 wins = 10 hp/mana +1 to all stats/resis
500 wins = 100 hp/mana +10 to all stats/resis

So, if you have 21 wins in MMC, 11 in Everfrost, 11 in Ruk you should have:
8 hp/mana (2x MMC, 1x EF, 1x Ruk) on your stone, and you need 9 wins in MM or. EF or Ruk to get the stats too (or 10 wins in any other theme :D).

Have to augment it
# Nov 21 2003 at 8:40 PM Rating: Default
I had 19 missions done and no stats, then i went to the table in the wayfarer's camp and augmented it onto my charm and NOW it shows 2hp and 2mana, so I guess it has to be augmented onto your charm to show stats.
RE: Have to augment it
# Dec 01 2003 at 7:07 PM Rating: Decent
The stone works in the same way charms do...they don't show stats until they are equipped. I have a few charms and none of them show stats until I equip them, and the charm augment seems to take on that aspect.
Questions
# Nov 16 2003 at 7:08 PM Rating: Decent
My questions:

1.How do I augment it into a charm?
2.Where are do I find charms?
3.How do I equip this?

RE: Questions
# Nov 17 2003 at 1:20 PM Rating: Decent
1. At every Adventure camp there is an object that looks like a birdbath near a adv. merchant. Just left click the water and a screen pops up with only 2 slots. Put the stone and charm in the slots and then combine.
2. Use Adv. pts to buy charms from Adv. merchants.
3.Just put the charm in the charm slot in your inventory.

I waited till i had 10 wins in any particular zone then hailed the correct npc untils my stone became stronger. So in answer to the question previously posted, no you do not have to hail npc after every two wins.

Also you adventure stone has to me augmented onto something in order for the stats to show.

I have over 10 wins in MM, and have gotten the 5 vital informations from Vual. I look at my stone, which I combined with my PoP charm, and I do not have any stats on the Adventure stone or the charm. Do I have to be flaaged in a PoP zone before the charm and Adventure stone show stats? Or should I buy a charm in a Wayfarers camp and combine the Adventure stone to that?
RE: adventure's stone
# Nov 12 2003 at 11:20 AM Rating: Default
Here is what I have concluded. Beware, this information may not be absolutely correct.
After two successful adventures you must hail someone form the Wayfarer's camp that the adventure came from. In MM, it is Vual Stoutest (this is mentioned in a previous post). My stone improved to +5 hp +5 mana after 30 successes in Mistmore Catacombs. This leads me to believe that the regular stats will improve to +1 on each fairly soon. Also, I think that about 600 successes will be needed to raise the stone to its full potential. This is just a guess, feel free to add a post about your stat increases and let me know what you think.
Other information:
I have done several other dungeons, but I do not have any more than 4 successes in any other dungeon.
After hailing Vual 10 times he tells you to go hail Henai Silentwalker in Dagnor's Cauldron. Henai is a male halfling rogue that can be found slightly east of the entrance to Unrest. After hailing him about 7 times he says to go back to Vual for a new NPC to get info from. I will add the next persons name after I get it.
My stone is attached to an aug that I bought in the wayfarer's camp with LDoN adventure points. The charm only gives me stats when I am in an LDoN dungeon, but the adventurer's stone will add points no matter where I am.
Sorry this post is so long, but the Stone is a complicated situation.

You can acquire and equip charms without having LoY or LDoN, but for the most part you can't really get one, since they're mostly NO DROP and without the expansions, you can't get them yourself.

The game remembers which bit of information you got last. You don't lose out if you forget to hail the person; you can "save up" your messages and get them all in one shot if you wish.

If you complete, say, four successful adventures (which would earn you two new messages) before you talk to the person, you will get a message after you hail him the first time saying something like, "You have more information to discover. Hail this person again." Just hail him over and over until you get the "you must adventure more" message. You'll get all the messages and credit towards your stone for all the adventures you've won.

The stone will not show stats until you augment it to a charm.

I was up to 16 wins in Mistmoore, with no stats showing on the stone, bought one of the LDoN charms, tossed the charm and stone in the augment sealer, clicked combine, and BAM +1 hp, +1 mana.

In an LDoN adventure, I get the stats from the charm also, but get the HP/Mana all the time.

OK, I haven't really cared about this before, and I suppose that I'm not chomping at the bit now, but I do have one question about these so-called adventure stones. First, let me say that I do not have a charm. When I did the quest to get the stone (answering the questions, etc.) I was given not a stone but a necklace. The item, when one mouses over it, is labled as a stone but it isn't. Other people I know (at my lvl and similar AA pts and no charm) did get the green stone as pictured in the blurb above. What's the neclace about and do I need to try to get another one that is certainly a stone? When I get a charm, will the necklace augment as the stone does?

Thanks.

I will update this as I get more information. It does not matter where you get each block of 10 wins, but you have to have increments of 10 wins at the same camp for it to add a bonus.
10 Mistmoore, and 10 Rujarkian wins provides the same effect as 20 Mistmoore wins.
10 Mistmoore, 8 Rujarkian, 2 Takish wins = 1 upgrade (for MM), not 2.

10 Wins 1 hp / 1 mana
20 Wins 3 hp / 3 mana
30 Wins 5 hp / 5 mana
40 Wins 8 hp / 8 mana

If it's the former <and knowing SoE it is> if i clock up 10 in all 5 locations does it count as 5 increases or will i be left with 1 hp/1 mana

For every 10 you complete in any zone, you will get a change in stats of the stone. In your case, if you complete one more success in Everfrost, you get a stat increase. Then if you complete 6 more successes in Mistmoore, you get ANOTHER stat increase. You get a stat increase for EVERY 10 successes out of any zone.

Every 10 missions in one location increases the power of the charm.
Once you have done 50 missions in one location, then you won't get any more stat increases from there.
However, you can then move on to the next location and get 50 missions there.
So you can get 5 increases per area.

I can't seem to obtain this stone, even though I have ldon. Please someone tell me who what and where. Been on adventures too. Talked to NPCs and nothing.

From the Adventure Flags quest description.

Short version

When you load Lost Dungeons of Norrath and enter the game for the first time, you will receive a "mysterious message" telling you to go back to your home town. If you are not sure what town you started in, you can also go to the Rathe Mountains gypsy camp or the NE corner of Western Karana. Once you arrive there, you will receive another "mysterious message" telling you to find a specific NPC. You need to find the person mentioned and hail him. He will tell you about the wayfarer camps and mention 5 more NPC's - one per camp. Head to a camp and talk to the NPC there and he will ask you some questions. Answer them and you will get flagged to use the adventure system and the Magus teleports that take you from camp to camp.

Answers:

Question
1: adventures
2: favor journal
3: Morden Rasp
4: Farstones

NOTE: You don't need to answer the first 3 questions. You can just say Farstones when they ask you the first question.

Is this the message that says something like "you look like an adventurous sort.... someone has some odd jobs..."?

And after you get the stone, where do you get a charm? Do they sell that in the adventurer camp?

Thanks!

I don't have LDoN yet, but when it went live I got the same message. I have the stone and can use the Magus' to port to the other camps, so you don't have to own the expansion to get the stone. I did it to see what was going on and got the stone. Got tired of seeing the message too. Now if I can just get rid of the nag screen for LDoN. After all I paid for the other expansions, and the game isn't shareware (way to go SOE).
