I got everquest titanium and I couldn't get the retail iteams, I typed /claim 8 and it says I have no pending rewards. Why is this?
I own 4 puters and 4 accounts. Today I installed 4 TITANIUM editions and on each account I typed /claim 8 and now have 4 of these bags amongst other items. I also have 2 boars on 3 accounts because I already had them prior to installing titanium edition )

Aye I bought Titanium, as I needed the last 2 expansions on one of my accts. Well on 2 of then actually but just after x-mas, and just before announcement of Titanium I purchased DoD giving up waiting for the $30.00 price to drop. (this is usually when i buy expantions due to the expense of multiple accts)
Naturally a week later I hear about Tit. Anyway I was scheming wondering if my toon will actually get the satchel etc as I already have a toon on the same acct. ......................Or does it get nerfed ......................../claim 8 ....
............WOOOOOT so i suppose i will be purchasing a few more Titanium.
I suppose the new satchel with its contents are a separate and single item, therefore there are no duplicate items.

Gold edition, Platinum edition, Titanium edition! Eq should make credit cards to go with these expansions. I am so confused, hence the bad title on preceeding post

I logged onto my chanter today, and got this. Dont know why as I own the Platinum edition.. never had anything I could claim before, so im not looking a gift horse in the mouth hehe
You do NOT get this bag if you purchased Everquest Platinum.
My opinion is that if you purchase this expansion, no matter the media, you should get this bag, period.

I agree, plus the message on the pre-order form was not very clear at all.
Also I live in Europe, so to buy it in the stores would have added even more time before being able to play this expansion.

You usually only get the benefits with the box sets because that is what independent agencies use to tabulate total sales. Digital downloads don't count for the statistics (bragging rights, add campaighns etc) or so I read somewhere on EQ's page.
F.Y.I this bag it self is 1.0 Lbs this is a great bag for your mnk it's free and the update quest to get it is easy handmade are 3.0 lb's
I knew that the bag was only going to be available for the store-bought version, but I really didn't care since, after three years of playing this game, all my characters have multiple weight redux bags.
I preordered the online version because I wanted to be one of the first to be able to play the game while the masses were dowloading patches. These few hours meant more to me than another weight reduction bag.
The reason I post this message is that I hope an SOE employee reads this and passes on the following suggestion to whoever is in charge:
If you want to make some extra cash, why not simply SELL items such as these at retail outlets? Imagine kicking off the retail release of LDoN by shipping boxes of the game along with small game-card like packages for just the bag! I'd have no problems pre-purchasing the download version, then going to the store to buy the in-game bag for the price difference.
In fact, why not sell a variety of in-game items at retail outlets? You can have a whole EQ section on store shelves where people can buy handy stuff like enhanced food and drink, a bagfull of peridots, stacks of pearls, essence emeralds, invis. potions, etc. This would keep the EQ brand name perpetually visible on store shelves, and would be a very handy thing for gamers. I'd personally pay real world dollars to have ingame store credit for things like peridots and invis potions. The only expense for SOE would be the printing of the packaging and some database to keep track of things. The profit on this would be astronomical. This does not alter the gameplay in any way that I can see.
I only hope this will appear as a feature some day.

There's a name for such practices--it's called eBaying. This allows people with money to get a one-up on those who simply wish to play the game for the enjoyment it provides. If you want your peridots and such, just go out and farm or what have you for the funds. In complete honesty, I fail to see how this would be any different than buying the ingame items on an auction service--save that if done in the way you suggest, it would be handled with Sony's blessing.

I can't see what all the fuss is about. A 50% WR bag with 10 giant slots? Go and do the rallic pack quest. Much better WR etc. etc. etc.
There are so many easy bags to get that are better than this.
I was initially annoyed that I couldn't get the box set (due to geography) but when I found it was just 50% WR it's not worth worrying about.

I dont think you see the whole point... Its free for those people who bought it through retail.
Rallic pack is lore and common as dirt now a days which majority of players possess. It doesnt hurt to have an extra WR bags. And, one shouldnt complain when you get it for free in the game!

The point is alot of people myself included like to have several WR bags, I have a rallic pack already, and they are lore. This would be great bag to hold my halas 10lb meat pies in since they will only fit in giant bags.

Everyone who didn't get the bag, enough crying about it. Sony said many times:
A) You can cancel pre-order
B) You get the reward (they did say what it was too that's how I Knew to buy) when buying it from a store or ebgames.com
To those of you who can read and did the same as me. Don't you get tired of hearing the crying about the camn bag?

It's amazing how many people actually do not read things. I had actually ordered ordered the download version on Sony first. When I saw Sony was giving a bag in game, that could be upgraded, and a key chain, I cancelled my order from Sony and ordered from EB. I got my CD the next day after it went live. The bag is worth it for my character. The upgrade is also very easy to do.

I will bet you that if you go out and get the box you can then enter code and get back. Since I have several characters all but one preordered and the one I get the box with cannot update expansions. The others can. I believe Sony did it this way on purpose. Hey how can we make people pay for this expansion twice. :)

I did know what it was and did purchase the boxed version. It also came with a nifty little keychain :)
Also, in-game, you can venture to the various camps and get the items needed to upgrade the stachel from a 8 slot 25% reduction bag to a 10 slot 50% reduction bag. Very nice of Sony to do that.

Please specify what items are needed and how the upgrade works please. A walkthrough would be great. Also, do you need to earn adventure points to upgrade?

The thing on the ad for the expansion download said only: a satchel of abu-kar. I didn't know what that meant. I figured that it was somthing in the box like a little promotional gift or somthing... If I woulda known what it really was, I would have went out and bought the boxed-version.

I agree it does suck... I thought by buying the downloadable version I am actually saving resources.. Hence no need for wasted paper on box and meaningless printed help guides, etc... That I would have thrown away anyway.
And this is how I am rewarded? This is whacked... I think the fact that they offer the downloadable versions helps to determine in advance of an expansion coming out just how popular it will be thus helping them ensure a good return on investment no?
Think of all of us who downloaded the expansion.. we are heping to reduce the ammount that should wind up in the bargain bin at the software store when EQ 2 comes out...
