I couldn't log the price for some reason up there, computer maybe on my end, but anyhoo...saw one auctioned today for 10k in EC. I jumped on it and offered the seller roughly 10-11k in trades. He took it and I know have two, count em two dolls to play with. ) This has been a pricing report from your friendly druid on 7th Hammer.

You don't have 2...count em 2 on the same char, cuz they are lore, and secondary only...unless you know a way to have 2 lore items, and put them both in your secondary slot at the same time. (O.o)

This item is simply awesome. I can't believe I actually saw one being auctioned.

First off, anything from kedge is instantly cool. Secondly, the +wis on this thing is divine! There are only 7 other items listed on allakhazam with higher +wis stats.

The strength hit is nothing. Having all that wisdom in one slot is much more of an advantage to the minor strength hit. Just think, with this and some (comparatively inexpensive) jewelry / crafted items (i.e. 2x velium jasper rings, 1x velium ruby veil, 1x idol of <your diety>) you can get +43 wis, -1 str with only using 3 (count 'em 3!) armor slots, two of those slots being rings! That gives you plenty of slots left over to bring your wis up to 200 and still have very high ac and other stat boosts.

SUPER SWEET
# Aug 17 2001 at 10:51 AM Rating: Decent
At the moment I am using a Springwood Club and a Cracked Darkwood Sheild. I am about to do the paw of opulla quest and become a non-melee druid. As soon as I hit lvl 30 I am going to camp this dude 24 7, as his drops are awesome. I see the PKT going for like 12kpp in EC all the time, needless to say that I don't have 12k (If only I did =P ). I am still gonna keep my Club and Sheild though, for those anoyying bloody Griffennes who always seem to get down to no health but are still alive (very small amout I suppose). I suggest that all wisdom casters when they reach or are near lvl 30 that u should camp this (and pick up his belt too). As previous posts suggest the benefit of 18wisdom easily outweighs the anoyyance of losing 9 str as there are plenty of thigs that can comprimise (velium ruby veil [which is 8str 8wis]for example) and with the paw of opolla in your primary slot, all up u will get 9ac 5sta 9agi 27wis -5chr -9str -5svdisease 5mana. If you were to ask me I would say that this is SUPER SWEET.

You mentioned becoming a non-melee druid once you hit 30... I am currently a level 32 wood elf druid with 197 wisdom. Here's what I have for equipment:
Gold jasper earings +3 wis(x2), Warden Symbol of Tunare +3wis +10 mana(quested), velium ruby veil +8wis, Runed Circlet +4 wis, 2 +6 wis rings, chipped bone bracers +5 wis (x2), platnum armband +4 wis(?), splitpaw hide gloves +3 wis(?), braided ivy cords +5 wis, foreman's tunic +3 wis, kunzar cloak +2 wis, gatorscale leggings +4 wis, reinforced boots, springwood club +5 wis, testament of vanear +10 wis, small wisdom deity +2 wis.

I know that doesnt add up to 197 (if you add base wis of 115) but its pretty close (I probably messed up some numbers). I also have ac that is near 600, and if I were to save up some money and get a shroud of nature (6 wis I think) I would have 200 wis.

Notice, though, I would need ALL my slots to get this 200 wis. Someone told me once that after a while you will end up having a few of items that have a high +wis/int on them, with the rest being resists, mana, and other stats... Anyways, I hope this gives someone some ideas for possible new equipment, a lot of the items I wear would be able to be camped for instead of purchased (I spent at most 2kpp on all that equipment, jewelry included). Also, the AC camp in upper guk is some nice cash and fairly easy, not to mention good xp every now and then if the level is right. But, thats enough rambling for one post.

Good luck to you all!

They are saying it's 9 Wis better than the shield. Shield has 9 Wis, this has 18 Wis. Simple math so I'll let you figure it out. =P
Bards too?
# Jun 12 2001 at 5:10 AM Rating: Default
LOL us bards can use it too! Not only does it take nine points from one of the most importan bard stats, but what's this? it adds 18 to the only totally useless stat for bards! WOOT! Sign me up!

Seems obvious to me....
# May 31 2001 at 11:25 PM Rating: Default
Shammys are really only ones who can afford to use it, but yet camping it would suck for them. Whereas druids can track em down and clerics can zone into unrest and make constant cash from rezes.... Anyway, For druids and clerics, (both of which should be MADE of money at high lvls) Pick up a velium vail dealy, plus 7 wisdom plus 7 strength! Cancels out pearl kedge rather nicely (Unless I am missing someting really big here..)
So the pearl kedge removes your meleeing, and subtracts two from your strength.. THATS WHAT STRENGTH buffs are made for! Whoo I am gonna camp him once I am around 40 and can drop him easy

Actually if you get a plat ruby vail, thats 7/7, not sure on the velium one but the plat will be cheaper.

#Anonymous, Posted: May 10 2001 at 11:44 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It's easy to look at this item and think "wow! 18wis!", but unless you really messed up bad allocating stat points when you made your char, 200 wis doesn't require this item. Since every point over 200 is worthless (it only equals one point of mana), this has to be viewed in terms of how it frees up other slots for stat increases.

I have a lvl 21 druid and i have found that druids aent the best melee class in the world, so i am going to get rid of her melee and go with straight spell casting, and yes it is true that any points in wisdom over 200 only adds 1 point to mana, but 18 wis is alot of wisdom, which frees up 1 or maybe even 2 slots for me to put MANA, or HP items in.

RE: Overrated

What you say is true, but at higher lvls you can always get better items, and if you are smart you should always try to keep all your main skills maxed out, i.e, fighting skills, but this can be done at anytime you cant find a group, or when you are in a really good group, there is really no reason not to try to get this item, 18 wisdom is alot of wisdom, and the str well that can be dealt with by str buffs.

Or even better get your guild blacksmith to make you(or pay through the teeth for)a couple pieces of embued plate armor. Many dieties pieces have + strength, and + wis.

# Aug 22 2001 at 6:26 AM Rating: Decent
Probably too low in level - fought Bilge twice (very lucky me ) once at 36th, when I did definietly needed the paladin I was grouped with, and one at 41st, when he was ok to fight without much stress.
There usually are two probs with him a) he is a 35th shamie, sowed and casts nasty poison dots, and b) he swims like hell, and in the time you will need to get into casting range and aggro him on you (so he will not just keep on running ), you will likely have attracted some more aqua goblins or undertow sekeletons (both highly aggro), making it a nasty fight, whatever the respective levels. BTW, he dropped the reed belt both times...:(

Unless Verant has changed his spawn rate since the last time I tried camping him..it was 4 hours. However, Dwigus tends to pop more often than Bilge does. The best place I've seen to catch either one is to go sit on the island facing the Unrest Entrace..near that dwarf. Good luck..and may Tunare bless you with patience..you're gonna need it.

thank you:)

I killed Bilge twice within 48hrs on Drinal last week. He dropped the Totem the first time and the belt the second time. Dwigus Lowater did not seem to make him spawn though I did kill him everytime he was up in the zone. Both times I saw Bilge, he was by the Unrest zone so I would focus your looking around there. Good luck all!

To who ever posted that this doesnt drop anymore, please know what you're talking about before you post. I killed bilge last night and he had a pearl kedge totem on him then. You are talking about Dwigus lowater, gobby that aslo spawned and i killed, he drops the ingot for the cleric or pally bp , i cant remember which.
RE: Rubbish
# May 08 2001 at 10:41 PM Rating: Good
It's the cleric bp I believe.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 22 2001 at 7:42 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) the new thing that the boys at verant did was decided to get rid of this item. They decided it was too good. so they replaced him with the gob thta drops the ignot of the constant for the cleric gold armor bp.
