useless

Since it is mostly Gnomes that will do this quest, alot of people never even go to steamfont, it is useless since gnomes have night vision.

Not good for Monk

The best Light source ive seen for us human monkeys so far, is a Globe of everburning flame. It drops off High Shaman in the Warrens, it has the effect of a Greater Light Stone, gives +2 save versus cold, and is range slot equippable. W00T !! I knew i liked killing those doggies for some reason.

Umm... The Globe of Everburning Flame has the light of a normal lightstone, not a greater.

No, it is much better than lightstone - it may even be slightly better than a great lightstone.
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 10 2002 at 3:31 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ok not to flame your post or nothing but IMO monks are mainly pullers and they should/could almost always have some sort of range weapon....
Just a lightsource (NT)

(before judging this post too harshly you may want to read the post that gave birth to this one that you most likely can no longer see due to your filter settings... just FYI)

I was just wondering how I might be able to change my filter settings so that it no longer skips messages (for whatever reason it does in the first place). I can't find a link anywhere that says anything like "filter settings" or even "preferences." Thanks!

It might be a premium feature, or you may just have to log in, I'm not sure. But just before the message thread starts, below the item information, there's a little bar of pull-down menus labeled Forum Preferences. Select "Never Filter" in the far right pull down menu, check the "Save" option, and click the "Change" button.

Monks barley use wepond and what monk would not want a no wieght light sorce <specially humans> you could sell it to them for some cake and since the item is not lore or no drop you could carry arround ten of them hitting the monk citys

Hello, are you on CRACK? The Monk's biggest advantage is having Dual Wield at lvl 1! Why would any Monk want to carry something around in their off hand, losing both the Dual Wield practice and the extra damage? A good light source for a Monk is a Lightstone or GLS, something that's lightweight and doesn't need to be held in a melee slot to give light. <sigh> Yet another EQ player stupid enough to think they know what would be useful to a class they obviously know nothing about.
