Drops from : Maestro of Rancor, 1st floor miniboss
Slot : Primary or Secondary, not Range
Graphic : Looks like Cone of the Mystics, not Glowing Black Stone.
Effect : Chill Sight, Instant-Cast.
This is a pretty decent item to have. It is droppable, and is a great insta-buff item for dispelling mobs. Obviously, since it is instant-casting, you can click it while running.
While this item is nice, it is not a long-term item for high-end wizards. Thankfully, it can be passed along to a friend, or sold, if that is what you choose to do.

i have this item for sale on prexus looking for ifs or 20k
We had one drop off the Ashenbone Broodmother last night in Hate, which is a second floor mob. We also had one very happy necro.
I haven't had the Ashenbone Broodmaster drop this, but I have seen him spawn on the first floor at the throne in the southwest corner of Meastro's room. I don't see an Ashenbone Broodmother on the listings, is that a second floor version?

Geez man, see those 2 keys to the right of the M key? They're called a comma and a fullstop. When you use them in sentences it's called punctuation. Learn how to use it.
As for this crap about wizards, this is not a wizard item despite what the info says. It's a key component to the Necro epic and if a wizard is given it instead of a necro there is something seriously wrong with your raid group.

Only costed me 250pp. HAHA too bad I'm only lvl 44, don't have a guild, and have the worst reputation in norrath with everyone.

This now is a very rare drop off of any of the mini-bosses on the 2nd floor. Haven't seen any drop in 3 trips, but still looking. Going back tonight. Hoping for a drop.

I thought the drops were changed when they bumped up the level on POF and POH. I heard this drops off a mini boss like the slime blood in fear. Can anyone confirm?

This is part of the necromancer epic quest. It's the second to last part. With this item you have to turn in the blood of cazic thule and the spiroc cloak from the plane of air necromancer test of quest.

Seemed like i looked at this a few weeks ago and it was 25int 100mana some other stuff and used by all casters, maybe was something else

Well, to let people know how nifty this really is, not only does it have the 10 sv magic and the 5 ac, it has 55 mana on top of 5 int. when you convert the mana to an int value: [mana to int conversion is (Mana / Level) * 5 ]
- at 46th level: 5.9 int
- at 50th level: 5.5 int
- at 55th level: 5 int
- at 60th level: 4.6 int
So, even at 60th level, this is FAR better than the GBS (or even the staff of the wheel). Plus, the infinite charges of Chill Sight (ultravision) makes this an awesome item.

Not me, I'd rather have a rusty dagger or a wooden staff, thanks for the intelligent, thought provoking post. And stay of the NyQuill, huh? It's ruining your preceptions of reality...
As a wizzy, this item is nice, not uber, not great, nice. There are other items like the Ornate Rune Shield, and a Teacher's Syallabus (for example only) combo that work better for a wizzy. The chill sight is great for night blind wizzy's, but there are PoG wiz items with it too that aren't needed for another classes epic. And this is for the necro's epic, so I would definetely pass on the roll for this to let a necro get it, god only knows how many times they have helped me out, as I can't count that high, lol :)

First of all.. being one of the rarest and coolest looking items in the game (no drops on Xengony, or Povar, I think 1 on Mithanial Marr) i would think at least 50k+. The GBS is 10-20k and looks exactly like this.. only 1000 times more common.
