1. No, this isn't a GM event. This is a regular drop off a named mob in Sol C, The Caverns of Exile.
2. What is Powa? Anything like what a Ranja has? I thought this was Norrath, not "the 'Hood." Not even Erudites talk that way.

If Tybog has the staff, will he do crushing damage as opposed to hitting damage?

Hmm this is supposed to be so rare but i think i am the only monk on Zeb that doesnt have this. Camped this guy and killed him a good few times within about a 4hr time and never saw it

Tybog spawns very close to the Sol B zone and doesnt seem to be a rare or have a PH he pops very often. While I was in Sol C today for a few hours we killed him twice and I saw him get killed another 2-3 times. First time the staff dropped so I ran my 45 Monk over and grabbed it because there were no other mnks or bsts in the zone. Very good considering it is on par with the SoFW which will cost you nearly 100k to buy. This is practically free and the staves will oftentimes rot. The only thing that sucks about this weapon is that it just looks like a stick.

What does "No near" mean to you? 30DPS? 40? 50?
For me as a Beastlord i dont take advantage of a 2HB as much as a Monk, i dont get the triple hits and such and fact is the difference is about 10-15DPS for ME, ive parsed it, i can look at it.
Granted was only about 6-7 fights with each weapon parsed but still that should be fairly close.
Please make yourself look like more of an idiot and tell me SoFW does like 50DPS more "for a Beastlord".
What a Monk can do with i dont know, im sure a tad more than i can.
edit: and ive upgraded to "Greatstaff of the Fourwinds" which is better than SoFW by about 10DPS counting the Procs so "approx" 25ish DPS better than VFS.
GotF crits for 455 rather often with my Atk over 2000 and proc crits for 150.

10 - 15 dps is a considerable ammount, especially for someone with low chance to double attack.

well first off i said "about as much" I have both SoFW and this so i know.
This max hit for me is 214 crits for 347, proc is 96 and i usually get on average around 3-5 procs per Min of which ocaisionally one of those crits for 192dam.
I get a few more swings per min on this than my SoFW.
Im a Beastlord so i dont get triple hits though i do get quite a few doubles and alot for max since i can get my Atk over 2000 easily.
Dont have inner flame either, though i do have a /disc that is simular but i havent even tried it yet with this weapon, takes too long for it to refresh (36 mins i think) and i really like my other /disc better where i take only 10% damage for 15secs and refresh is like 3mins, and since if im using this weapon its quite likely im tanking so much prefer the other /Disc.
I havent parsed either one extensively but from what little i have im getting around 80-90DPS melee only with this weapon and around 90-100DPS with the SoFW.
So yeah i call 10-15 DPS difference as "about as much" and is certainnly "near it".
Add in my pets usual 55-70DPS my usual 30-40DPS from spells and im doing fair even with 2HB.
But averaging about 25-35DPS less than my H2H...

my bst is 65, scf/cf at lvl2 only... swinging a waning light and epic offhand both with a 100pt ldon proc added on... with procs and normal h2h i do 70-90dps.. depending wether i'm self hasted/buffed or with chanter haste/ranger atk buffs... 2hb i do 50-60dps selfbuffed... not much point to me for using 2hb whatsoever... more dps from duel wielding... and i can always equip a 1hb that procs stun if i need to deal with casters.. all stats are maxed at 305 regardless wether a shaman buffs or i buff myself..

that none/none stuff is pretty bad...i bet lots of people didnt get this nice staff becasue of that..oh well next time

I was there a couple nights ago and this dropped. Only, it was a none/none weapon. Was it changed in the repatch?

Yes, it was none / none when it first started dropping.

Now that chokes me. We were there for hours and this was the only thing we got, but it was none/none so we gave it to a passing mage pet

Also drops the Shawl of the Firewalker. Seemed to be his common drop, killed him 3 times....got the shawl 3 times. Didn't see this weapon drop.
