got the KEY but cant target the door to hit U .. any ideas?

To use the U key, you don't have to have anything targetted, just in the center of the screen. I don't use the U key for most things, and simply put the key on the mouse cursor and click the object with the mouse to open them.
Eventhough alot of PoP objects are hard to find the right click spot for, I don't remember having any trouble with that door.
EDIT: F8 target's nearest object.

i know this is a dumb question but is this used to get to grummus? or somewhere else in PoD?
Can anyone advise if this key goes on your key ring once used?
Can now say for sure that it doesnt.
It's no rent (temporary) so I seriously doubt it.
