The effect is comparative (uses the higher modifier of the two), not additive (stacking).

Now how does a bracer count as a stringed instrument? I could understand precussion, hit it with a stick and it makes a clang.

Since we're getting all analytical here, why doesn't Quarm just eat everybody because like, his mouth is bigger than an Ogre and he's really big and can probably fit your whole raid force in his belly.

Ok, I figured it out for you. Grass grows in the earth, and pieces of grass are sometimes called strands. A strand is when a string is unwoven. You can pluck on a string. There ya go, stringed instruments. :)

Well a Short Sword can sing because its magic! Why not this to, you just think the tune in your head and the bracer plays it like a harp. This isnt real so dont use real logic!
I suppose if it was like the old woven grass bracelet you could 'pluck the stings' or something...but how does my troubadour's mace count as a brass instrument? ;) Other than that I shove it and my sword through my head....

dont question items like this.. they just have it so bards wont always need a nice stringed instrument in the melee slot for stringed songs ( if ya have a stringed instument in melee and has a modifier but ya wanna have 2 swords in melee but still have a mod to strings ,if ya areplaying a stringed instrument song(s), you try and get an item like this.. wont take a melee slot but still has a mod to string songs, makes em better, )
