This only work with the 65 spell Sun Vortex. If you are talking about it stacking with the summoned Jolum's Glowing Bauble (ear ring) that only lowers the mana cost on beneficial spells. So these gloves takes 20% of the mana costs when casting Sun Vortex which isn't bad.
Jolums Bauble does NOR decrease mana for most beneficial spells! It decreases mana on nukes. Watch for an activation message, while casting.

Items with the same type focus only take the higher percentage only take the higher one. You know that. These do NOT stack with the earring, they override it for Sun Vortex.

Sun Vortex is Conj, but if you mostly nuke with Firebolt of Talon (Evoc) and are specialized in Evoc, it is a blessing to get 20% savings stackable with summoned earing for the best non-line of sight nuke for the Magi class.

yes only Sun Vortex- but for specialized EVOCATION mages / plus wearing earring - this adds another 20% decress in mana - thats awsome !

umm I thought Sun Vortex was conjuration?
So this means that ONLY Sun Vortex will gain the mana reduction effect?
