Believe it or not, this dropped off a lesser jord kjal (the elementals) in Bastion of Thunder today.

I just bought this in the Bazaar for 2k (half the cost of the Flaming Dirk I was on my way to get). I'm assuming I got an excellent deal (such a great weapon), but I'm wondering what it usually sells for--as it is Primary only, and will soon be replaced by my epic.

I've seen the price hovering around 15k on my server. However, don't get rid of this when you get your epic, just put your epic in your off-hand. This will probably be the best piercer you can get for quite a while besides your epic.
The reason that BS weapons have a mod is that the max BS skill is 225, well below the maximum of 252(?) or so.
However pallies and sks can already get to 252 skill in 2hs.. so mods would not be helpful

Knight weapon skills cap at 225, not 252.
This is not a hard cap - it can be raised with items like this. Any skill can be raised to a maximum of 252/255.

I am just wondering why there are starting to be all these piercers with BS modifiers for rogues and bards have weapons that serve as instruments, but what is there for paladins and sk or other melee? There should be some sort of modifiers on some 2hs for hybrids or something for warriors. I dunno why i posted this but it's just a thought.

What is the graphic when equipped? Does it look unique?
Unfortunately, it doesn't look unique. It has that old Rusty Shortened Spear look to it. Sorry :(
I have had this spear in my bags for a few days now. Excellent, excellent weapon. That +6% did influence my max. backstabs.

Been killing the jail area for a while now and have never seen this guy spawn yet.
Can anyone confirm an exact spawn spot of this guy?
Of course the jail area, but looking for which spot is the PH. Would rather concentrate on that exact spot than waste time clearing the whole area.

If your looking down into the jail area, he's through the door, there are three spawns (middle being the jailor that drops the key to the jail if he's not been killed recently) then there are three in the room behind those three. He is the one in the middle in the back room.
Nice. That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the info. I have seen the warden guy in that room that drops the keys you mentioned, but still never gotten lucky enough to see the other one.

I can confirm that location... he popped back to back just now and dropped the spear both times... now gimme the damn hand wraps.. =P

The jaillor that drops this is a named, and pretty easy fight for where he is. I don't remember his name but it is Jarilor <name>.
