Moss Covered Hood
# Jan 29 2007 at 10:33 AM Rating: Decent
It took my 65 necro about 90 minutes to get this drop.

He was unable to clear the whole kennel before repops but it dropped off a rotting hunter, the common mob there, so no matter. Mobs are light blue now.

A nice camp with an undead slow, I just let them beat on me while I dotted and pet smacked em.

When you first come down to the kennel you can stop right there on the wall on your left and pull to there. The stairs will be on your right. You can mitigate some mob damage by running the couple of steps from one corner to the other, the mob backs off, and walks around to your new spot. No damage while he's moving. So you can just keep moving. An extremly short kite. You'll get hit, but less than just standing there. Or with the mob slowed, you can actually sit down for a second or two.

oof, just realized I can use my necro damage shield, Banshee Aura. A completely unused spell in my ********
Looks like...

On an Iksar of any class this item is a helmet with two big a$$ horns coming out of the top. Looks positively awesome. Friend in guild had one on her Beastlord. I just bought mine in bazaar today for my Ikky Necro and he looks totally evil now..

Good luck on getting this, I hear it was once rare, now is absoluteley ubah rare.

My camp spot is getting taken too much.. Serves me right for camping the bazaar....

All leather helms look like that on an iksar.
NOT COMMON

I have been camping this for this for about 4 hrs so far today and have yet to see it. Killing 6 of them a round and still nada. I would call it rare I will post if and went I get one.

No kidding... Killed at least 120 dogs the other night and only saw 1 hat. If that's common, then.... dang....
Graphic
# Dec 13 2003 at 2:01 AM Rating: Decent
On a halfling it looks like green leather with metal bands holding it together. One of the better looking graphics, definatly the best I've seen so far on a halfling druid.
Graphic?

Does anyone know if this item has a graphic? Hate to muss up my bard's hair, lol. ;p

I am glad to see a new druid head item after looking at the same ones for months (grobb is cool, but hate the graphic),too bad it doesn't have wis bonus. On the other hand why couldn't this be all / all...
Would have been a great necro item
# Jul 11 2003 at 10:29 AM Rating: Default
Has cha and int dang almost all but the necro:( they ***** things up alot on these like they don't want the classes that actually use the int to have it. if they are gonna add the wis users to use than add the stupid wis on it or make it int users too grrr.
wish

All I can say is I wish I had something like this on my chanter. All of the classes that can use this have other items that are better...at least I can get them for my toons. I would use a Cowl of Mortality over this for most of the classes listed above.

Bard songs

The focus effect will not affect Bard songs. Unfortunately Bards dont get good focus effects.

Paladin Useable?
# Jun 28 2003 at 11:30 AM Rating: Default
Sure its Paladin useable, but they give INT Bonus and CHA Bonus. Where is the WIS Bonus? The Extended Range is nice, but Paladins dont get anything else useful out of this, except maybe the magic resist. Hehe, I suppose this is to make up to the Shadowknights for the Loyalist Shield of Honor, which is SK useable, but give no INT.
focus effects
# Jun 28 2003 at 1:27 AM Rating: Default
humm if the focus effects do work with bard songs then yes this is excellent for a bard, and me, being a bard myself, wouldn't mind having this... the only problem i see with that is the ac loss from the singing steel helm =(
Hmm...something I never thought about

How do focus effects, such as Extended Range, work with Bard songs? If it works, it's pretty self explanatory...but do they work?

If so, this item is excellent for bards...could even see an SK wearing it, though the AC is a bit low for that level. It's odd, however, that it has so much INT on it, but yet no INT caster can wear.

Just a few thoughts...nothing major. :)

Extended Range III for bard songs really will cost you around 17 aa points or so, with the aa ability 'Extend Notes'. This skill will work on all songs, minus aoe mana songs/resists.

Further development of this skill can be achieved via Sionachie's Crescendo, a PoP skill that improves the songs range even more than extended notes, but requires all 3 levels of EN.

Focus effects are for spells. Bards use songs and the only focus effect bards get are through using instruments. When focus effects first came out they did function on bard songs but were taken away within a couple days ,with verant sighting that bard songs were never intended for the focus effect.
