Just spent an hour in Fironia Vie with my fishing pole, and here is what I learned. There are many different fish here, but the most common are the XX lbs. Fetid Bass. The Fetid Bass come sized 2 lbs. to 17 lbs., and only the ones that weight 10 or more pounds will produce HQ Fish Bones. Also, the Giant, Gigantic, and Humungus(sp?) Fetid Bass will produce the HQ Fish Bones.
The Tiny Fetid Bass and 3 of the Large Fetid Bass (there are four diffent types, all named the same) give DNC messages.
The Fresh Fish, Sewer Catfish, and XX lbs. Fetid Bass 2-9 all produce regular Fish Bones.

You can get HQ fishbones from 5 different kinds of fish(in parentheses are zone or zones you can fish for them in):
Wulf fish (Karnor's Castle)
Red Roughy (Western Wastes)
Cobalt Cod (Cobalt Scar)
Weary Wrass (Sleeper's Tomb aka Kerrafyrm's Lair)
Grotto Bluegill (Tower of Frozen Shadow, Siren's Grotto)
As you can see, KC is by far the most accesible place to get HQ fishbones.

You can also get HQ Fish bones off of Fetid Bass in FV. Easy to just fish off the dock there..and safe even if you can't FD. :)
It may be usefull for Monks to pojnt out, that you can fish while FD'ed. I personally make these myself, and get my fish that way.
Necro's and Shadowknights can also fish while FD. Very handy for fishing in hazardous places.
