Gloves dropped by Warrior

I had some time to kill the other night, so I was soloing the Bloodgills for the weapons to turn in to Syrik Iceblood in LOIO for the Cabilis faction.

These gloves are supposed to be a common drop by the Bloodgill Warlard, from whom I've already looted the Soulshard. I got them off of a regular Bloodgill Warrior.

Of course there will be crap gear! How are we to know what items are good if there aren't any crap items to look at and say... "Man this sux, glad I got somthing better"

But I'm sure I'm wrong and it's a big SOE conspiricy or somthing...

that recommended level crap needs to stop for stuff like this. I can understand ultra uber high end content but for **** like this? That is just absurd

The Developers want you to use the gear that your getting and not pass it on to a twink or sell it, not a bad plan, but they have totally screwed around with how this, how all free economy works: you get/create multiple items/products that are within your range or ability, get/create many of these, sell for profit to those who can't get/create those things, use the money to buy something that is better then what you can get.

The whole original point of no-drop stuff was so that the person used what he/she had looted, instead of selling it, this is the same idea except it can be traded.

The retarded developers, however, made this something you can get at 40, can use at 40, and is worthy to be got at 45 or fifty, and used at 30...

This whole level requirement is a great idea, turning the No Drop stuff into stuff that you can drop, but as you are saying, this type of item just f-cks up the economy. If you were going to do the level requirement why not just do it to every item in the game, and set them a hell of a lot lower.

This Item should be required level of 25, have at least 6 more AC and some more Stats, or be No Drop and have all stats Doubled.

Begining to see too many things like this, I know some of you don't like it but Getting alot of what you can to get something you can't is just how the economy works, throw this piece of crap in the game and, ptchhh its worthless, absolutely worthless, and some ****** developer wasted 20 seconds of his time making up the stats.

I'd go for required level, not recommended, on every item in the game. That's the best way for the developers to control twinking.

Also there's really no sense in having a recommended level on any item that is lower than the average level you'd need a group to be to kill the mob that drops it, so 45 sounds about right for these.

It's too late, really, to do this in EQ, but if you look at the many MMORPGs in development, pretty well all of them have built-in level requirements, item decay and trading restrictions to prevent the out of control twinking that EQ now takes for granted.

Totally agree. A good wis caster should definately have better than this by 40. Coldain, Grey Flesh, heck even Gauntlets of Iron Tactictics is affordable and better.

These would however make excellent twink items, but recently Verant seems to have grown frustrated with twinks or something.

Iron Tactics : Unless you are on giant faction (most level 40 people won't be,) to get the Gauntlets of Iron Tactics outside of the bazaar, you have to kill http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=5680 Gkrean, Prophet of Tallon, a level 58 mob. 58 loot > 40 loot, naturally.

Coldain: To get coldain skin gloves, you have to kill http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=6113 AND be on giant faction. The royal scribe is on Dain faction, and challenging to get to. Not a chance of getting it at the level these are attainable at.

Grey Flesh : Another pair of nice gloves, these drop off of http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=7102 . A lvl 51 mob in a zone not conducive to anyone without an eb item. Once again, not attainable at the level these are.

Rec. Levels are not based on the levels where you could farm plat to buy an item in the bazaar via camping greens, or overcrowded rathe. They are based on the level you can realistically loot the item out. all in all a /golfclap for your wonderful use of allas search function.

K you are partially right about SONY, cause VERANT no longer exists, is frustrated with twinks. They made the game so that you can enjoy it from lvl 1 to lvl 65 with out ubering a lvl 1 out and rushing through the lvls. But unfortunately they did not anticipate the side effects that their very liberal policy of buying selling and trading gear between players so they shot these Recomended lvls in place of the loot codes from the Warrens experiment which failed missirabley.

But take this all for what it is worth after all it is just a GAME.

#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 19 2003 at 1:08 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What total crap from Veksar. I mean, anyone who can go in there to get these can easily get Coldain Skin, even Shissar Scaled, both of which are better.

This gear is probably supposed to be with in sync for the rest of the Kunark continent...... PS these are better than Gnome skin which I used until 45.....
