Tried using it in a fight against the black reavers. tried it in the back slot and a general slot. both slots ate a charge but I got no effect from it

This would be a good item it you are going to kill Black Reavers in City of Mist since they just love to blind all the melee classes. Also wouldn't be a bad item in duels, if the other person in the duel could actually land a blinding spell on you.
Yeah... like maybe in PvP or a duel (contrary to popular belief, duiling and PvP are NOT the same... they're more like opposites) with a ranger using that what's-it-called bow that procs blindness.

How are supposed to use this if your screen is black? Or am I missing something?

you put these in a hotkey, then you dont have to see what you're doing. This item is good for duels and that is all really
