If you read the whole entry you will see that this is triggered spawn and just because it is not listed on the site, does not mean that the mob does not exist, did you think that a FT III item was going to jump up and bite you in the ***?

This item drops off of "a grimling high commander" on Al'kabor. He no longer spawns PC side.

Ok. There is no Claw of the Khati Sha MOB listed as being in Grimling Forest. So what drops this Tome ?

This drops off the Claw of Khati Sha. He is the named mob in the 10th battle of the war in Grimling Forest.
To get to this mob, you must clear the 9 grimling camps in the zone. The quest begins with the General in town. He will also tell you which camps have been cleared.
From here, the other cats will take you and your party to each of the camps. The cats who take you are the Scouts (to the two lowest level camps), the Veterans (to the next four), and the Captain to the last 3.
The camps progress in level of difficulty. Named in several of the camps drops desecrated armor for various slots.
The final battle is in the grimling camp closest to the TM zone line. We cleared this with a party of 12, average level around 55. The last battle is difficult because of the massive number of repops. You must kill all the grimlings in the camp and maintain control of all 6 tents. (You need to leave someone in each tent to exert "control.")
The mobs here pop about 3 times a piece.
Once you have control of all 6 tents, the Claw of Khati Sha pops under the little stone arch. He comes with about 6 grimlings and hits pretty hard. When you kill the grimlings, some skeletons pop in their place.
The Claw has a lot of HP. He is very cool, and just mean spirited. He drops this item as well as a medal and some nice leggings. The medal is no drop as well and a range item. The leggings were not no drop.
We completed the entire set of 10 battles in about 3 hours or so with 12 people.
A little while after the Claw dies, the town repops with cats. There are many named cats in the group and many quests that go with them.
The Prospector cat who pops near the entrance to TM has a quest where you turn in those no-drop pristine acrylia shards that drop in AC. It takes 8. Your reward, 750 pp and about 3 blue in AA (at 100%) for me. Make sure you are not grouped when you do the turn in or you will get NO EXPERIENCE.
We have now done this set of battles twice. Not sure if we are the first guild to do it on Xev, but would certainly like to believe we are.

Great post this info helped alot. I just wanted to add some info about the 10th war itself. I did this with 10 people average lvl 63. The main thing I wanted to add was that in order to keep control of the 6 tents you have to have 1 person stay inside each tent once its cleared (if you leave the tent it will respawn within about 15 second). Once you have done that grimlings will start to spawn outside the tents. Kill these (without any of the 6 people leaving the tents) and Claw of the Khati Sha will spawn with more grimlings and skelies. Once he spawned our 6 people left their post in the tents to help kill him and all his skelie helpers. So doing this battle with one group may be hard as it would be dificult to kill the mobs outside the tents without leaving the tents.
Who and where is Claw of the Khati Sha??? I looked in Illia's Bestiary and it does not show this name in there... Any help would be great

spawns as the final mob in the series of 10 events for the war.
Once you take over the grimling village, the claw appears - he's blue to level 65, hits for a decent amount. drops some nice stuff tho.

ummm - Illia - you do a beautiful job keeping up with everything here, but was wondering if you (or anyone else) might have a link to a write up fo the 10 events or the war as a whole...
For those of you not used to surfing the sparse and often misleading quest info here (no offense to anyone, it's just that this info is hard to gather, many guilds horde such info and sometimes (as with this line of quests) it changes radically), follow these links for more info:
