Cloak of Leaves  

 

A ranger in my group wanted the staff, so he convinced me to help him track Grizzlenot and kill him for him (he had just died in Split Paw and was waiting for a rez). Lucky he was there to heal me because I was pretty weak from the gnolls already. Anyway, I finally killed him. The ranger let me loot first and I got the cloack. The funny part was that he didn't even drop the staff that the ragner was looking for! Haha!

Anyway, I have opted to wear this instead of my banded cloak. I only lost 1 AC point and the +7 AGI helps since it seems I'm always encumbered.

Just yesterday I was in Butcherblock Mnts. helping one of my friends lvl up her druid. While there, we heard someone shout that the Undead Queen, the Undead Bishop and the Undead Rook where standing outside the gates of Kaladim. We ran over to see, and sure enough she was there. Myself and a 30 pally or cleric, can't recall, began to fight her. We ended up chasing her and the other 2 back to the chess board where we finished her off. She dropped the enameled bp and the cloak of leaves. My question is, could it be some kind of glitch that it dropped off her? If anyone knows please let me know.

So I had spent some time in South Karana, and according to what everyone on the boards and in the game said I'd be lucky to even find Griz. Well, pretty soon someone shouts out that he's wandering around, so I run and find the guy and start following him. I figure I'll just use my silver tongue to talk whatever druid or whoever wants to kill him outta the bark he's gonna drop for my shammy totemic armor. (which, according to these sites, blows chunks compared to other armor, but I'm still wearing banded, so I could care less)

Anyways, /who all shaman, I find that one of my higher level buddies is there, and instead I start giving him locations to Griz. He ambushes him at the Aviak town with only two other party members. Now my friend was 28 shammy, I'm 22, his buddies were both blue to me, and the four of us waxed Griz in no time. So my buddy loots the bark, and I've spent a lot of time for nothing-- or so I think.

THen he turns around and gives me what (I presume) he had just looted from ol' griz, the CLOAK OF LEAVES, AC5, AGI7 and HP5!!! Not bad payment for a little tracking, I'd say...
So next I go and look at how the Cloak of Leaves compares with the Totemic Cloak. AC10, STA5. Well, gorsh, I think to myself, to get the Totemic Cloak I gotta haul my pasty white Barbie **** to the Ocean, camp the Isle Gobby chief and his friends, and hope for an uncommon driftwood pipe NO DROP?!??! Then buy the stinkin dufrenite gem for an arm and a leg, and then get this lousy piece totemic? No thanks...

I guess the whole point (sorry about the length) is that for all the shammys who say that hunting Griz is not worth your time becuase the totemic armor isn't as good as say... bloodstained, which I cant afford anyways... I say he is, becuase there is an off chance he's gonna drop this sweeeeet piece of stylin' capewear. So even though the totemic mail might not be worth the time, this cape darn sure is.

All in all, it was a good night with some nice rewards for me.

I wanna kill this dude. he drops this nice cloak for my monk. no, the weight isn't too bad. any one item above wt. 2 or 3 (except for my helm of rile, oh it's just too good :P) is too heavy for a monk.
