Planes of Powerplane of time. what you MUST waste in order to get there. too simple.
ok this is edited to further elaborate my point.
how long does it take from start to finish to flag someone (anyone, yourself, alt, w/e) to potime? (the hard way, not the time phased stone thingy way) guessing upwards of 100+ hours of raiding, easily more, but i dont know. lotsa time wasted, see. could have been getting a nobel peace prize, or cleaning your house ... teh possiblities are endless.

well its been awhile since i posted this, im time flagged (the hard way bishes!) was it a waste of time? yes... still... YES
Yeah, such a waste to get 40ish high quality drops on a 5 hour raid. I so regret ever getting there.
And yes, I'm being sarcastic, for those who missed it.

I like raiding. I like killing every god and demi-god along the way and seeing people get loot that makes them happy. I like seeing my flags rack up. I love the feeling of 40+ people wailing on a single mob, fighting for that single necessary piece to enter that next tier zone.

im curious as this i have been told that this is teh elemental quest armour can it be droped in the elemental planes itself or is it JUST the PoTime? if it is just the PoTime then why dont they rename it 'time armour' insetad of elemental 
Most parts of the elemental armor drop in the elemental planes, only 2 actually drop in PoTime
Elemental Sleeves drop in EPs only
Elemental Gaunts drop in EPs only
Elemental Bracers drop in EPs only
Elemental Hat drop in EPs only
Elemental Boots drop in EPs only
Elemental Pants drop from EP gods (Fennin Ro, Xegony, Coirnav and Avatar of Earth) and from lower tier PoTime
Elemental BPs drop from PoTime tier 5 (i think) gods
Elemental Sleeves drop in EPs only
Elemental Gaunts drop in EPs only
Elemental Bracers drop in EPs only
Elemental Hat drop in EPs only

From what I've read, all the "elemental" armor chest patterns drop only in PoTime. Since they are no drop, you'll have to get to PoTime to wear them. Another wonderful Sony move to make sure only those in really,really strong guilds are wearing the best stuff.
Let me follow up in the opposite direction from xaanru...
WHY should you get a chest piece like this, when there's someone else out there willing to work harder (in terms of their own effort, and organizing / working with others) to get it? What makes your effort speacial?
Or, are you suggesting that EQ should have no stratification at all, and every player should just be given the best items after some amount of play time? Then again, why should just the players willing to play huge amounts of time per week get these items?! Why shouldn't the guy who can only play one night a week get these sometime before Sony decides to end-of-life EQ?
Yes, EQ is a social game. Yes, you cannot solo your way to time.

Tria, the whole set, except for the tunic, drops in the elemental planes. That's why its listed here as being elemental armor. Plus, all the molds that drop outside PoTime are called elemental molds.
Aquendar, if the best stuff was accessable by people who AREN"T in the strongest guilds, what would the strongest guilds get for rewards? I am not bothered by the fact that bigger stronger guilds get better stuff than I do. Personally, I think LDoN really narrowed that gap, with some of the items you can buy with points, and am content to continue to accumulate LDoN points, in my quest for royal attendant armor of sand for my cleric.
