There are actually 2 versions of this potions. The new player made version is stackable while the old player made version is not stackable. You can get the old version from the casino still as of 11-10-07 but they can not be combined into a 10 dose because they took out that recipe for alchemy.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you thought you heard was not what I meant.
I purchased one of these in the bazaar last night. I was planning to do some factioning work in Neriak, being unable to find any dark elf illusion potions. I am a gnome wizard of Solusek Ro.
I was already apprehensive-dubious with many of the city's inhabitants, but several of the guards and miscellaneous npc's are still theatening. After quaffing this potion in Neriak commons, I was dissapointed to find that it did NOT help my faction.
Now I patiently wait for an "essence of dark elf" to become available for sale.

They nerfed this too. This is given as a reward from Kutin's Key in the GoD expansion in Abysmal Sea....but it is now NO DROP. The key you catch fishing (skill at least 130)is also no drop. so, my troll could careless about Essense of Troll...now I fish with my Iksar.
Side note, it says that Abysmal Sea is noted as a "safe zone" ....my guess is they nerfed that too...people have been pk'd there. I have seen it with my own eyes. So, if there is a safe place, maybe its 100 feet in the water. all by yourself...

There is also a NODROP version that i looted in an LDoN adventure. it was in a chest in a Mistmoore adventure
