Do these creatures summon or not?
RE: summon?
# Sep 02 2003 at 2:27 PM Rating: Default
Yep, and Fear, and the 63 level ones at least hit for max 464 (average 160 on me with a 1400 AC). I'm thinking that most if not all of the undead summon in my exp (maybe everything in the zone too... sorry I'm a Paly that can't let go of my extra undead damage to bother fighting to much of the live in this zone)
Highborn camp
# Jul 21 2003 at 6:21 PM Rating: Good
Ive seen these mostly drop from Highborn camp.
This camp is behind the wooden fence to the right of zone in. To get there you must go up ramp left of zone in to undeads. Go through undeads till you get to the Golems. Go right follow wall and it will take you to the reverside of the Left wooden fence( from zone in ) This fence is also how you quickly get back to the zone in (guess you all know this tho lol).
Next to the fence is the shops. Some kewl named spawn in here . Go through shops and up the stairs to 2nd level (safe spot). To your right you will see a hole in the wall where you can jump out of and be on the reverse side of the right wooden fence ( Right from Zone in) . Now with the fence to you back if you run straight you will come to the Highborn Commander/Crusader camp. Gloves Can pop off any highborns in this area im told. Good luck :o)
Location?
# Jul 03 2003 at 2:27 PM Rating: Default
I have not yet been able to find any decent maps yet of Veksar that show where all the Camps are located at.

I can easily get a group together to get myself these Gauntlets, but an exact location of the Camp would help.

The only map I have found so far is this one:

http://maps.eq-toolbox.com/images/Veksar_1.png

If someone could point out on it where the Noble's and Highborn's are that drop these Gauntlets; the poster below noted it was the building where the Remains of Sythrax spawn.

Which building is that on the map?

They spawn at -300/-400 on that map. And a nice map it is by the way.

As far as i know, the noble area is the southeastern part of Veksar.
Try hunting at the buildings at the eastern zone border.
But take care, these mobs are level 63+ ;)

Actually, this can drop off nearly any, if not actually any, mob at the highborn/nobles camp (the building where Remains of Sythrax spawns).

Personally, I can confirm this off "a highborn", "a noble crusader", "a highborn commander", and "an insane noble". I've yet to see it off "a noble", but I'm guessing that is just a matter of time.

Location aside, these gloves are worth the time. They are superior to Stormrider, as well as to Hurricane Chain and Coldain Skin for all of the classes involved, making them easily the best readily-accessible gloves for these classes.

I want to go hunting with you... I've only peeked at the insane noble (inside just to the left). Looked to me like a triple pull on top of having the group together to clear out the single outside and 4-5 inside to even get there (all those are easy single pulls).

The groups I've put together for this have typically been capable of the 3 outside, then left front, right front, and mabye left middle as a pull order (all our troubles begin when we go after left back and we get a pop on the way back with him and end up fighting 2 at once with about a 50/50 chance of survival so far).

Anyway doing just these we have seen these gloves random drop 3 times from the various mobs.

My questions are thus:

Can the insane noble room be single pulled (pacify does not)?

Is there anything special inside further? I went upstairs ITU and got nailed quickly by some sucka.

once these become more common than they are now, what do you all think the price would be for these?
RE: price estimate?
# Sep 02 2003 at 2:32 PM Rating: Default
Good range of classes can use. rough 6 hour drop rate (pretty well camped currently on the other hand)... then again undead hunters will probably move on for a good part when LDoN comes out. Never the less I'd expect these to be slightly under 10k eventually (maybe even half the 16k I read as an average above)

One of the best Ranger gloves in game. Better than the ones that drop off the Bees in Storms, even.

DEX, STA, and HPs. The rest is just icing.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 14 2003 at 10:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Yeah, rangers don't need mana. :p
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 20 2003 at 4:56 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i agree... mana pool size doesn't matter for general purposes.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 03 2003 at 7:33 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) WOW!.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 02 2003 at 5:58 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) lol maybe well see *some* nice people that will give this to a noob iksar(named zatrantiz) and make them(him) the happiest iksar alive :) lol
