what expansions are required for this quest? my server only has those up to PoP
None actually. Its all old world stuff.
Ive been hunting in hate for 4-5 days and minor signet of the dark sorceror has only dropped twice. The vampire dust is very common, had at least 10 drop. If the things dont drop diamonds, chances are very good you will get them from unused armor turn ins in PoK.
On Terris Thule, diamonds are commonly found on merchants, especially in PoK.

Went to Hate tonight trying to get the Earth staff for Epic - didnt get that but got this to drop. So I guess its all good - at least something came out of going to hate for the 37th time.
Yeah we did a raid in Hate the other day to get the Book of souls. the Signet for this quest dropped. didn't have any others though. the Vampire dust isn't No Drop so easy do quest once you get the right Signets. Upgraded one of the guilds Mages range slot item from a Preservered Owlbear eye to this. We had a Happy Mage. :)

A very good series of quests for anyon hunting in hate. Even just this item is better than many who go to hate for the first time will have in range slot.
