Jopal Island and the fragment
# Jun 09 2011 at 5:40 PM Rating: Decent
Just got my Living Fragment off of a Jopal mystic. Best place to pull is on the Jopal island itself--head towards the castle wall and then veer right around the hill/wall. Jopal island sits in the lava stream and has * lots * of Jopals.
They are a bit tricky to pull there, but easier than out in the trashlands near the zone in. There is a rocky clearing next to the lava stream on the back left of the island. Room to pull carefully, especially if you have some kind of pacify. I got my fragment after killing maybe 5-7 jopals, but I was killed twice from overpulls.
Remeber the zone out in doomfire/PoF: it's next to the zone in, a burning tree in front of the obelisk between two of the round buildings. Click on it to leave. Not a bad run from the island if you stick to the wall or close too it. Most of the trash mobs and Jopals don't see Superior Camo. Lev is helpful. 75 ranger.

Don't believe all the hyped you hear about having "all the items and it'll drop for you" Did 3 clearings at least 30 or 40 mobs and not a single one drop. And yes I have all the items as they mentioned above.

Funny thing is my shaman did plane of water for that water elemental thingy, first 2 mobs Dropped 2 Water elements and she is not even a ranger! I must have camped there 4hrs one night (on my ranger) with a couple of friends and NOT a single one drop! It's all Random chance.

I've got the binden, and am working on 2.0 for my 70 ranger. Its quest easy, just takes a lot of kills to get a drop since 2.0 has been found out. There is a jopal village on the way to the first wall. Its off to the right of it, has about 25 to 30 jopals in it in total, if you had a decent group, could clear it all, and get the fragments for whoever needed them. Wouldn't suggest it for xp though.

soloed Jopals at entrance in PoFire. Had to kill 10 or so before it dropped. Quite easy kills, tho some of them are unsnareable. Main problem is to pull them amongst all the other trashmobs. Good kiting area is behind GY, over the ridge:) GL.

These guys are easy killing, its the pulling them thats hard, and yes, some of them summon, but a very few do. The trash mobs are what gets me every time, and not being pof flagged I get to find 5 people willing to sit there in group chillin =P
