You're not hunting the broodmother for these boots. Look at her other drops. Mobs don't always drop their best stuff and these are a secondary prize. RvR would only be a factor if this were the only drop.

Hope these are used for some quest for better boots. These, quite frankly, are CRAP for the effort it takes to drop that mobs. I hate to see any loot rot, but i think i would have to pass on these. They would be uber up to about level 10, too bad the mob that drops them is red at 56 and mean as heck
Doesent really take that much effort, just a good group of upper 50s low 60s. these would be an upgrade for my 55 bard actually who is still using lambent boots =X . This mob is actually soloable for some classes once they get some decent AA abilities.

For the difficulty of the mob, these boots are horrible. They rot every time they drop that I've killed her.
Sadly, that is the case. Good boots are tough, but not tough enough for people to generally need this as an upgrade when doing Broodmother. We've considered that they might be decent beastlord gear, but we've never had a BST with worse than these along, either, so ... grats rotmonster.
The problem with these boots, really, is that they are on a monster whose other drops are much better - and so attracts people in better gear than this. If they were on something more level-appropriate, they wouldn't rot (they aren't THAT bad).
