They also moved teh Ishva Mal to a place SE of the paw entrance. PH is a Lteth mal gnoll or something like that. click the name of the mob to find out. Rather than fret over what drops the robe, check where the different spawns are that drop the robe, since the names are already given.

picked up one of these after camping the little room that The Ishva Mal spawns in. Had to kill the placeholder 3 times before he spawned. Got both the Robe, a summon corpse spell, and a brain off of her.

It was quite a fight, took me down to 9pct health. She feared me out into the round entrance room where you get out of the water. Fortunately, none of the other mobs agroed on me as I was taking her down.

Not that hard to get

This robe sells on the Torvon server for about 500plat if im lucky...not a hard robe to farm at all...been to splitpaw numerous times getting summon cropse spells for fellow necros and sometimes I have to leave this robe to rot since I already have one...It is nice for those chanters that have maxxed out their int...but if not for the Rogue Epic, I probably wouldn't have a market for it at all.
Nice robe

On the surface you may not think this robe would be worth more than about 500pp. However, enchanters who can cap out their int may find this robe more valuable. Mana 50 is nice once your int is maxed out and rarely do enchanters manage to max out charisma if the int is maxed. You also need to consider the rarity of the item in considering the price. I would bet there are less than 10 of these on any given server, and rarity alone can boost prices. Given the circumstances I could see this robe going in the 2-3k range. I know I'd like one.

# Dec 12 2003 at 2:15 AM Rating: Default
Theres a +60 mana hp robe you can get from Dulak thats is also pritty easy, and it also has more ac and a few other stats. Think that would be a betetr option for an enchanter with maxed int.. but i see your point=)

This isn't worth 5k. I doubt this would be sold for 1k. I think i ended up selling the one i had for 800 or so pp and that took me awhile...there are just better robes cheaper like Blackened Crystaline Robe or Crystline Robes that aren't that hard to get.

Rogue epics don't seem that hard on paper, not compared to the much harder mage and shadowknight epics.
epic
# Jul 17 2002 at 11:36 PM Rating: Decent
At the sort of lvl that rogues are doing epics, I really think that 30 mins to 2 hours running about Paw and whiping out gnolls for an epic drop is what they're gonna do, as opposed to sitting on their butts in EC for 4-8 hours trying to buy, at grossly inflated prices, one of the easier to obtain pieces.
There are mobs in Paw that con DB at 51 and fall over when farted on, so there's even easy XP to be had killing the time between spawns.
Below lvl 51 there's always gonna be some necro who'd go down for the summon spell, and a little company.
So if you want to sit in EC spamming 5K for this robe, i sure hope you've got a big tube of ointment for the piles your gonna get.
5 K would be understandable for something like idol of Zan Fi, for monk epic, where the camp can be as long as 3 weeks of 8 hour sessions, but not for this robe, it's just not rare enough, or difficult to obtain.
Might be worth 1 K to a caster that desires those particular stats, but that's only those who don't have a lvl 40+ alt to get something juicier.

Thank you.

So the only reason this robe is worth 5k is because of the rogue epic? What if it were a mage that wanted to buy it? Would you still charge 5k? Or maybe the 5k price tag is reserved for rogues only? I am a rogue and if I can't muster up 5 other 45+ people in my guild to go pay a visit to Ishva and rape him for a while then something is utterly wrong. Will I ever pay more than 300pp for this robe? Hell no, not for my rogue and not for my mage, nec, or chanter. BTW the robes are a sub quest for the Cazic Quill in case the General doesn't drop it (rare drop).

I hate that Verant did this, but this robe just got a whole lot more important to mages and necros...it has the focus effect of summoning efficiency II. I like the focus effects but why do they have to make a rogues epic item more interesting to other classes now? Mages have something similar in the pegasus cloak - wearable by all classes and has unlimited levitate. Yeah like a mage is going to be able to compete for that. With that focus effect on the Ishva Robe you can bet the price of 5K is something that will be a more solid price and pet casters will pay it. Sorry rogues, they did you in with that one....I personally will not buy it just for that reason.
RE: Greed
# Jun 07 2002 at 1:51 AM Rating: Default
Personally speaking as a person who summons a pet almost every time I play, I would never use this thing or any other summoning efficency item. Get real a 25% reduction for a spell I cast at most twice a night... and thats if I am having a bad night. Ok so at my level that adds up to about 200 mana wich is about 1/15th of my total mana pool. Does it make a difference... yes, but I wouldn't want to hassle with swapping it out with my much better chest item.
RE: Greed
# Jun 19 2002 at 2:09 PM Rating: Decent
There's alot to pet casting - some folks will root a mob and keep suiciding pets into it, others will keep reclaiming energy and resummoning the pet till they get the strongest one and let's not forget zoning - stuff happens and pets don't go with you.

No, I don't think this thing is worth 5K for it - there's gotta be better values in items out there for that, but as a rare drop for something as important as an epic, I can see it going for 5K.
RE: Greed
# Oct 03 2002 at 3:37 PM Rating: Decent
You're right, this isnt worth 5k just like the Jade Reaver isnt worth 20k. That weapon would be venodor bait just like this if they werent used for epics. Apparently Verant likes to watch players get raped when they dont make all the epic drops no drop. Then again, I will never pay money for a epic item piece. I guess that is why I am stuck at the last part and havent been able to dish out the 50k to MQ the shattered emerald to get my second sword. Smiley: banghead

Well, it May have been 5kpp at one time, but when I sold one, pre bazaar (about december of 2001) I was only able to get 1kpp. Now, with bazaar, they are dirt cheap. I bought one for a guild rogue who got shorted his quill of the general, and only paid 250pp for it.

The other point people seem to miss on this robe is: 50 Mana = 50 int at lvl 5, 25 int at lvl 10, 12.5int at lvl 20, 10 int at lvl 25... This is an awesome twinking robe. The int robes don't really start beating it until lvl 25 or so.
ugh...
# Apr 22 2002 at 8:42 AM Rating: Default
Everyone who has been ranting and raving about how this robe is not worth 3k - 5k has obviously skipped every single post about it being used in the Rogue epic. I don't think that many high level rogues who are working on their epics are going to be too concerned about dropping 3k on this since they'll have their epic that much faster. Just my 2cp
RE: ugh...
# Jun 09 2002 at 10:03 PM Rating: Default
That is Stupid. The Oracle Robe is also used in the rogue epic and I bought Mine for 100plat. And at 52 I have never had more than 6K at one time. And that was due to my 30 SK Smithing, not from My adventuring. Personally I would Not pay 3-5K for this Item, maybe 1K. The stats are no better than a Blackend Crystaline Robe or the Oracle Robe. Especially Not for an Item as easily obtainable as this. Thanks for the Nice walk thru Cmecu. I'll be doing that Myself.

Definitely a good robe
# Mar 12 2002 at 1:07 AM Rating: Decent
I just got one of these and gave up a 6 int robe for it. Why? I calculated it out, I get less mana from just 6 int plus I am getting close to 200 int so I will need mana items. This robe also looks sweet without Luclin running. Is it worth 4k? No clue, maybe to a rogue. Is it a good robe? Definitely if you reach 200 int using other items.

And for those newbs who think AC is important for casters, why do you think any good caster gets a Stein instead of a shimmering orb?

RE: Definitely a good robe
# Mar 26 2002 at 9:59 PM Rating: Decent
Ok, you must not have heard yet, but the 200 int cap has been raised to 255, so this robe isn't quite as useful to you anymore.. this happened when Luclin came out, though you don't need luclin for it to apply to you.
RE: Definitely a good robe
# May 05 2002 at 9:39 PM Rating: Decent
thats semi correct.

after 200 you can only get 5mana per int. so unless your robe has 10 int, this is still more.
RE: Definitely a good robe
# Mar 24 2004 at 6:21 PM Rating: Decent
Isnt that 310 Int. with AA? lol. and yes, later on, in later levels... its worth more to have Int. I thought it was like a sliding scale, the higher you got the more Int added up to be mana...
Current Price?

Isn't this robe used as one of the last steps in the rogue epic? Some people might pay outrageously
so they don't have to get it the hard way. Mine fell in Kithicor forest (and someone verry generous gave it to me :)
This robe is easy to get on vazzlle

Im rather dissapointed at the stats on it, 50 mana is the only good thing on it, would have expected some INT on it or something. But the dark blue is cool looking ;)
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 21 2001 at 5:40 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ugh, I posted a long winded post somewhere on this site about the EQ economics, explained the factors of why things cost so much .etc, can't seem to find it though so you'll have to argue among yourselves
RE: Economics
# Oct 14 2001 at 10:43 AM Rating: Decent
You don't need a long winded post to discuss economics in EQ, or anywhere :) It's very simple, things are worth what others will pay for them.

The asking price may be high based on perceived rarity or what have you, but that is not the value of the item except in somebodies noggin. If it were, I could offer my Rusty Dagger for 50K and claim that Rusty Daggers are worth that much!
Of course I'd be the only owner of a 50k Rusty Dagger :)
