i love this thing it looks freakin cool i dont kno why u all are sayin its ugly. stats are great too for my lvl 27 necro
My 25 lizard necro uses this and loves it! The thing IS butt-ugly, though, so he runs around in a Tattered Tomb Shroud that happpened to spawn on some lizard necro while I was quest/farming his Visceral Dagger.

This is strange, everyone is talking about how they are to over priced. I bought mine at the bazaar for 30pp just today, I guess i was lucky.

Bought one for my Enchanter for 75pp! Currently getting it transfered to my Necromancer because I don'y play him that much so I figure I'll get another robe for him when I need 'em.

Well I have this on my 11 Enchanter and Ghostly Robes on my Necromancer with a Flowing Black Robe in back up. But if this is better for Necros...is it worth the trans?

This robe was meant to be worn by necros considering the stats. More stamina = more life to convert to mana. More dex = less fizzles. Int only 3 but easily made up for by other items. More than the stats however is the fact that it is a focus item with affliction haste II which speeds casting dots up to 44 by 33%. So what if it looks ugly? Wear it when soloing up to 44. Buy another robe for "formal" occasions if u must. I bought mine for 150 pp. Worth way more than that.

I was given both the GSD and Noble's Robe as gifts from a high level as a newbie necro. I'm very broke, and I know I want to keep the GSD. Should I sell the Noble's Robe or keep it for the future?

GSD is like a give away robe. Its laughable if someone thinks they could sell this for more than 200pp. You'de be lucky to pawn it off to a newb for more than 60pp. Good poisen resist bad resale. 49SK Saryn Server

Not really, if you would take the time to pull your head out of your you know what, you would realise that this robe is actually a very decent robe up until about level 24 where you would be able to afford a slightly better one. I still use this robe at even level 30 because of the affliction effect. Many server prices are already slowly increasing if you would take the time to look at things like that. I saw this on Tribunal the other day for 500pp, and he had quite a few offers from level 20 people. The lowest i've seen this robe is on Druzil Ro, for a price of 300pp, which IMHO is basically a gift by the person selling, they should be asking much more than that.
Perhaps but...when the post was made originally the focus effect had not yet been added by Verant. That alone had a huge impact of the value of this item. However several things go into making up the price, one of which is rarity, and on Luclin server for instance, in the bazaar one may find 7 to 15 of these robes all for sale at different prices (why don't people check competitors) at any one time. The robe itself is unattractive to many people asthetically, and this is also a factor. Utility is another and with focus effects this item becomes more useful certainly. I currently wear one of my own Necro (lvl 13). And why is becuase of stats and focus effect. The high dex and sta bonuses are hard to get on many other caster wearable items, and those that are available are things you are not likely to throw on your twink or if your main you are not likely to have access to at say lvl 20-30. It's a highly underrated item in one sense, but I can see why the price is fairly low. Robes of many types are a dime a dozen in the bazaar nowadays, along with a whole myriad of other things people are selling.
In the end what makes an item a good item, or a crappy item, or an uber item is largely subjective. People assign value to one thing or the other in the game as per whim, and whatever their perception is of what makes something good.
My take on this robe is simple. If you can stand the green, and like this robe buy it. For necros it makes a nice item, DEX and STA, Faster Dots and decent (for a low level robe) AC can make you a more effective player.

i got this thing for 100pp because of that reason alone. this thing kicks the fbr's **** in every catagory, but looks. i was glad to change out my low-lvl necro alts fbr for this one. ***** look's, he's supposed to b hated anyway. why worry what other ppl think of him? hehe.

i started a mage twink, and i went to north freeport with my 42pp twink allowance (ok, i'm not THAT twinked). i /auctioned "wtb a robe that's not yellow and ugly, i have 42pp to spend"
some guy said he'd sell me a GSD for 42pp, i had no idea what it was, i thought i was getting screwed over actually. too bad it's still ugly, hah.

Got one in trade for a set of medium banded...gave it to my caster alt. Had 4 requests in 3 hours to sell at 500pp, 600pp, 550pp and 700pp...
Sold it for 700pp (nice 650pp profit of a suit of banded)...picked up a second in EC for 150 pp two hours later...currently back on caster again...5 more requests in 2 days since (most over 600 pp) ... trying to decide wether or not to sell it...rather look like a newbie and live than look like a king and die as many others have stated. There is a market for them. Who ever has states otherwise has either not tried or beleives what someone who wanted to get a bargin tells them.
I don't see them for sale that often...hmmm probably because they are quite a bit more decent than some of the higher-prices/less effective robes. Every day there are 2 or more FBRs for sale in EC...rarely do i see these

You would think tha FBR would go for more. I have 1 on my Necro and FBR. on me Encanter. I bought My Green Silk Drap for 100 pps. The guy wanted my FBR I told him no Hehe

Why are these much better than Flowing Black Robe and they sell for 175 to 200pp and i see these go for 150pp. FBR has 8ac 3int 5sta so shouldn't these go for 400 to 500pp?
