Dont moan about that which you dont know about.

Dont berate those that get to the plane of time and dont try and make out you wouldnt like to get there.

Your statement reeks of jealousy. You will never get to that level, so what,-- live with it, but dont abuse others for there dedication.

As for this item, get a grip, this isnt awarded, any guild at this level will be on a DKP system.

I'm in a Time guild and we run on a complicated member Dictate system. Most guilds at this level are DKP, but not all.

Ok, we are only in the elemental planes, but our guild runs on officer assigned loot, not dkp. (Also the guilds like In Virtue who have started on a brand new server and been first to Vex Thal etc have also run on officer assignment rather than dkp.)

Not all guilds work the way yours do.

Most guilds do and many will leave your guild and others for a guild where they have a chance to earn loot instead of get lucky or sucking officer wang...

Actually both systems work well. Dkp system works well for greedy ppl, officer assigned loot works well in friendtype guilds. Not all ppl raid only for loot, some ppl actually take pleasure in chatting, fooling around on raids. Loot is inevitable if you keep raiding. I've been in a guild that worked with DKP and assigning, never had any probs with either.

#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 04 2004 at 3:48 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Actually no they don't. That's why most guilds go by dkp and any other type is dying fast. There is no such thing as an equal distribution of guilds using each type, most all guilds use a point system and that is the only fact on this topic so far...

Sure, give this to you monk based on weight.. I am sure that is what afterlife did. But there is a ranger there who makes the Monk look like a punk with his Bow damage output that coulda been just a weeeee bit more devastating with the added accuracy. Just a little food for though folks.

Anyways honestly I don't give a crap what they do with their items. I'll never be one of those Uber raiding people, and have no desire to ever be. So I'll never put that much thought into who gets what and why, as far as I am concerned if you worked for it you deserve it, If it is better suited for another then you should pass on it, But not everyone is like that, I believe in Awarding those that can best use an item.

Our guild keeps everyone on Magelo Premium and we can see who has better, and who needs what most. If you get upgraded, and the upgraded item is tradeable you pass it down to whomever needs it most. That my people is why I love my guild so much. We don't care about the loot as long as someone gets better that is all that matters. A true family without greed. We have superb loyalty and I hope it stays that way.

I have a wife, and a life so I would never devote this much time to a game. Sleep, a job, a family, and a REAL life are significantly more important than EQ. If you are in the PoTime you don't spend near enough time in reality. I'm not impressed, in fact I'm somewhat freaked out by it. I hope it doesn't spread too much.

I only agree with the first part of your post, so I'll start with that first. I also don't ever want to be one of those people that only have interests in raiding all of the time, I would rather get a grasp of the RP of the game by doing quests ('meaningless and unrewarding' I think were the words that uber or elitist gamers use) than to always get the best things no matter what. My brother's friend just paid someone $290 for 135kpp when he was quitting his account, hence the selling of the money. He keeps bothering my brother about gloating that he can buy high lvl accounts and crap, which I think is stupid. I like to earn everything that I get IN the game IN-GAME, not spending my limited RL budget on plat. Paying to play the game is one thing, but buying code in a game that doesn't have very many RL rewards (there are some, like selling pp on Ebay and such) just sounds cheap and stupid to me.

Now for the second part or your post, I completely disagree with pretty much everything you said attacking other devoted players of the game. I'll use an analogy: Someone who is fanatic about soccer is a star (if they are good at it), but a person who is fanatic about EQ and is good at it always gets attacked on message boards and such about not having a life. Why? I know a bunch of you are thinking 'soccer is a SPORT and EQ is a GAME, and besides soccer is good for your health', so I guess that is a difference, but not exactly a big one. Plus it isn't exactly like everyone who plays EQ has a bustling social life, I know I don't. And though I am not even close to being a hardcore EQer because I have to share my family's computer a lot, I still feel some of the burn when people who play the game dis other people for playing the game more/better than them. Sounds kind of confusing to me, considering they play the game to, be it casually or otherwise. I don't hear anyone making fun of pro Scrabble players, considering they don't get any more exercise than EQers do.

My point is this: Play the game however you want to everyone, just respect other players for their own reasons and schedules of playing, because you are to the 'addicted' players that people who don't even play are to you, be it more geeky or whatever other words you want to use to describe it.

Although you are getting flamed in above posts, I agree and I'll take some of the flaming too if I need to.

Logically, if you spend up to 10 hours (or more) raiding every day like some guilds, where do you have time for a real life? I mean to stay healthy, I figure you gotta sleep for about 5 hours? So then there's 9 hours. And if any of these people actually have jobs, they're probably there for about 8 hours. So then if you have a family you have 1 hour to spend with them? Or you could spend your extra hour eating I guess.

I'd love to hear someone from Afterlife or FoH's daily schedule. Sure, they may be heroes or people might look up to them online, but real life is more important than EQ.
RE: Sure
# Nov 23 2005 at 11:32 AM Rating: Decent
Who are you to say what real life is? You do not live their lives and you do not run their schedules. In my opinion EQ is just as much real life as anything else. What makes EQ any less real than real life? Do you not have interaction with real people? I mean whats the difference in driving all the way accross town and visiting your friend and sitting down infront of your computer and talking to hundreds or thousands of people many of whom are friends and having some fun. Nothing what so ever accept your not wasting 20 minutes and $5 in gas doing it.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 08 2004 at 8:38 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You just don't know what a hardcore raiding guild is. I am full POP flagged, and we are deep in GoD atm.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 20 2003 at 11:18 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) look at the weight. this would go to a monk im sure

Guessing time. It might be a skill increasing your chance to hit mobs when attacking. At least the name suggests it in a way. :)

Every +5accuracy will increase your hit percentage 0.333% so you'll need +15 accuracy to increase hit rate by 1%. If you're using weapons with 250 skill, you're base hit rate is around 59.5-60.% at lvl 65.
ok so the first thing...
