The re-use timer buff can be clicked off... not sure if the buff actually does anything other than block this BP from being used again for 7.5 mins... but in any case I just click it off of my merc and can re-cast the BP immediately afterward... It is definitely quite useful in situations where your Tank won't die in 30 seconds.

I will try to cast this on my group tanks before the Shaman falls into the typical buff frenzy that fills 50% or more of those 15 buff slots. Just my lil way of calling dibbs for a Heal over Time spell buff slot when the Shaman buff frenzy subsides.

Special PvP use would include the ability to fill one of those open top slots gankers love to keep open to dispell various Magic based dots :) Of course you want to do this while the ganker is full health. If your lucky you'll remove a buff. Ideal time is when you tag em in the non pvp zone prior to going into combat. << The Curse Camping PoV,HoH,BoT zones from the safety of PoT >>

Try casting your 30 second C-Heal after you drop a 24 second Heal over Time upon your Tank. You will find that with some minor adjustments ( one thousand one, one thousand two ect...) this makes for a nice CH without the stress.

See the glass is half full not half empty :)

Unless you adjust the time when you start casting. Chain casting this, starting when the tank is at 100%, could work very well against mobs that do not have insane dps.

Its decent for wipe recoveries. Get a couple of clerics on clicky duty with epics, and a couple with this BP, click healing the rezzed, and bam, back up to speed, one AOE Hand of Virtue, one AOE VOQ and the raid is going again.
Great with Shammy
# Mar 21 2004 at 1:04 PM Rating: Default
I use this to recharge my shammy in my 4box grp with no mana used. Shammy just does the AA canibalize and the cheal from the BP gives the HP back when needed.

Since I can do 3 AA canibalizes (with regen up) before needing a heal and that takes more than 7 minutes the buff is down by the time I need it again :)

4 box is not too efficient :)

2 or 3 boxin best

shaman slow, cleric heal and one tank to focus on is best... fourth could be dru for DS I guess.

RE: Great with Shammy
# Oct 29 2004 at 8:19 AM Rating: Default
Once you get past the second box its all about hot keys. So there is really not much difference between 3 and 6 boxers.

All you need to be successful is have the right person at the keyboards.

Two of my many three boxing teams regularly kill yellows and reds, and survive well in areas where people ten levels above them wipe regularly.
Personally I three box and love it.

At times I invite people in to group to share the xp. Many get nervous once they hear that I am three boxing, but once they see the xp rolling and mobs dropping and one kept in camp for continious xp, they relax and come back for more.

I agree with this post its all about the person behinde the keyboard i 4 box with np, i have Mage, bard, cleric, shm. Granted im on one of the combine server it is very do able. i don't use any extra programs just a laptop and computer 2 boxing. have mage pet tank mob cleric heal pet, shm just to buff and maybe slow, and bard to chain pull or manasong. works with np. im changing up my boxes however, or having a 6 box started again i got the accounts. =P

No, the BP works like a CH, but leaves a spell icon, like a buff or DoT. However, like DoT, you cannot remove it. While the "buff" is in effect, the spell cannot be recast on that person.

However, you can use the same BP on different people, immediately after casting on someone.

I have a question to anyone who may know the answer - If you have all 15 buff slots full, can you cast this on the same person over and over? Because the buff icon would not fit, therefore letting the effect be cast again.

Interesting thought. :)

the complete heal effect icon acts in this case as a debuff, it will overwrite the last beneficial buff on your buff bar.
RE: Effect
# Aug 01 2002 at 3:59 AM Rating: Decent
What if every buff icon in your window was a debuff? Would it overwrite debuffs? If so, you could dispell things such as charm with it, which is otherwise un-dispellable. If it didn't overwrite, a guild could get six clerics a BP and have a 5 second manafree cheal cycle.

/cackle
I love thinking of exploits.

No. It's not a regular CHeal that heals and then leaves an aftereffect buff, it's a buff that heals in it's first tick. It doesn't even heal instantly as soon as it goes off; you'll get the buff, then it may be a second or two before the healing kicks in.

I doubt it would overwrite debuffs, and I'd assume that if you don't get the Cheal buff, you don't get the healing either.

As to the other things in this post... I thought Annul Magic would dispell charm, maybe I'm wrong. And I'd think having 15 debuffs and no other buffs would be a fairly large drawback even if it meant you could chain-cheal with a group of clerics all decked out with this BP (which is about as rare as the mana robe). So I'm not really seeing the hypothetical benefit here...

The price... well, if you can find it for 60k, that'd be a good deal. Somebody posted a price of 10k for it in the price list. I see it for sale in the bazaar less often than the mana robe, and for 100k+. Hardly anyone raids Trak without a cleric, cleric usually gets awarded the bp if it drops, and clerics rarely sell it later. *shrug*

Additionally; you don't have to ask people to tell you when it wears off. If you try clicking it on someone when they still have the last buff, it'll just give you a message "your spell would not take hold at this time". It won't put you through the 30 second cast time and then tell you it wouldn't take hold at the end.

If you zone when you're nearly dead (with less HP than your +HP items), it does strip this buff along with all others.

Yes, it will takes u 30 sec casting and then tell u that the CH does not taken hold IF your target's buff Slot is full. It won't overwrite any buff or debuff spell, but just tell u that your spell does not taken hold.

This BP is very good. I want one for my cleric, will trade heavily for it. Complete Heal right clickable is amazing. Even if you have a better BP this is still useful because you don't have to waste your mana on casting. I think this is probably the best BP for class specific armor in Kunark.

How do you make a breastplate proc? put it in your main hand and start whaking a MOB with it?

Now, if what you meant was, when does the right-clickable complete heal effect start to work, I hear it is lvl 45 for all the kunark armor sets, including donal's.

Ok, next time I wanna know what lvl I have to be to use an effect(proc), I'll be sure to say
"What level do I need to be to use this right-clickable effect on this piece of armor. The proc on this breastplate would be very useful to my blue skinned fictitial healing character for the purposes of an undisclosed nature."

Get real, we don't need to be corrected to speak like MIT graduates.
Plain answer woulda been "It procs at 55 for BP and Legs, 45 for all other pieces."

So Lipidboy, You're saying that if the last word of a definition is the same word, they mean the same things? Nope - Dont think so.

The result in the case of a proc or effect is that a spell is cast. But how it happens, are the defining characteristics of the item. IE - Weapons usually proc (in otherwords, you have to be using the item in a battle for the item to process it's effect); other items (such as BP, legs, bracers, etc) will have an effect that is right-clickable. Although the end result is the same (a spell being cast), the way in which it happens is completely different. Therefore, they are NOT the same.

To quote your definitions....

Process:A series of actions, changes, or functions bringing about a result.
(this requires the action of a battle for the item to 'proc')

Effect:Something brought about by a cause or agent; a result.
(the cause in this case is right clicking on the item)

Again - although the 'result' is the same the way the effect was 'triggered' is the difference. To say that they are the same, would be....well.....wrong.

Easiest way to remember - Proc is done by battle, effect is done by clicking. ;) That'll help your EQ grammar. ;)
RE: proc
# Jan 27 2003 at 6:42 AM Rating: Decent
Fortunately weapons don't process during combat, they proc which is a bit of everquest jargon you won't find in a dictionary.
The Complete Healing on Donal's Chestplate of Mourning is a right clickable effect. There is a difference.

And here I was, interested in when the effect processed all this time. I am so glad to know that the proc is at L55 for the BP.
Not that I will be lucky enough to have this, but being prepared is so useful.

Because of the buff icon, you are not able to heal the same target for 7 minutes. Can that buff icon be dispelled? Think in terms of keeping the first few buff slots open. Cast CH, dispell the icon by mob or group member, recast CH. Could it really be that simple?

I'll Never Sell Mine
# Feb 11 2002 at 5:41 PM Rating: Excellent
I don't care how much someone offers, I will never sell mine.

First of all, you can cast every 30 seconds, just not on the same person... you have to wait 7 minutes between casts to the same person.

If you don't think this can be used in normal fighting or durring raids, you don't have one... Most high level encouters (Cazic Thule, Lord Yelinak, Dain Frostreaver IV, Lord Kreizenn, Lord Kreizenn, The Itraer Vius, Progenitor, Final Arbiter, Klandicar, Sontalak, Zlandicar, Statute of Rellos Zek, Innoruuk, Derakor the Vindicator, et all) will have a Chealing cycle. On the longer fights, clerics start going OOM... so this is a perfect backup. I wouldnt want to have to completely rely on the BP, but trust me, it can make a difference.

We took down The Itraer Vius in Akheva last night... After 5 or 6 regular Cheals I gained agro and he pawned me. They said, should i click Bandolf? I said, yes, i can BP heal... After the rez I looted my BP and begain Chealing each of our MTs. I got off 6 or 7 BP heals and 3 or 4 regular Cheals after being rezzed before Itraer Vius went down.

Also, the BP is perfect for wipeouts. On pulls gone bad, I've CHealed 15 to 20 people right after rezzes. You think, thats 10 minutes of Chealing... Yeah, but its 6k to 8k mana saved. Not only do we save on the mana, we save tons of time. Instead of other clerics medding for Cheals, they're buffing and the like.

The effect on the Velious BP is crap compared to this BP. MoK is not that usefull. I'll forgo the resists and AC, I'll never let go of this BP.

Also, Trak is a gimp compared to his Velious and SoL counterparts.

Dont complain about the nerfing... as it was, the BP was way over powered.

I am a 51 cleric, and I could sure as hell used this item while with my guild taking down Nathyn. We have 4 to 5 five groups going on a 5 cleric CH ring, when your MT goes down, things can get a little wirey. I dont think I can put it any better than that post from Bandolf. Well put. I wouldn't even think of using this during battle, ALOT happens in a period of 30 seconds, and there is no time for that.

To give you an example how overpowering this BP was before the patch...

Back when PoG was still a challenge, we were able to take down some of the tough named Treants like Feyl easily with less than 4 groups by having our clerics with Donal BPs alternate CH on our main halfling warrior. The other melee classes were in melee range, but not underneath the mob to switch agro. Sorta hilarious to watch his hp bar slide back and forth and back and forth. ;)

RE: question
# Jan 24 2002 at 9:36 AM Rating: Excellent
Yes the cast time on this is 30 Seconds. It can be triggered more than every 7 minutes, but not cast on the same player. The player that receives the heal will get a buff icon that lasts for 7min, when the icon is gone, they can be healed by the BP again.
RE: question
# Oct 23 2001 at 10:00 AM Rating: Excellent
30 second cast (which is a heckofalong time, given that you need to anticipate where your tank will be 30 seconds from now health-wise, which is difficult enough on the 10 second complete heal spell) and a 7 minute recast time (can't use it more than 1x every 7 minutes). Basically it's for non-combat use only. Between fights, or after doing a leisurly res (i.e. in a non-raid situation) (though unless it's a tank above 45, Celestial is probably as good or better, given that with a chanter you can probably med the mana for a Celestial at 45 [when you can right-click this] in that 30 second time).

Basically they wanted to prevent it from being epic in quality, such as every 50+ raid needs a cleric with this. A well balanced group, aggro will stick on one tank, damage will be fairly consistent, and Complete Heal will be relatively easy to use, and so this BP made such encounters incredibly trivial with no downtime
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 22 2001 at 2:48 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I don't care if it's nerfed. It adds critical stats, it adds AC, the effect is nice, but to me secondary. I am a Dark Elf Cleric of the 16th season on E-Marr server, if I had a way to get my hands on this, I'd wear it until i got Planes or one of the Velious quest armors. I know I'll get flamed for saying this, but I don't have an uber guild to back me up on getting things like this. Nor do I have a Main to twink myself, the cleric I play IS my main. Yes it may have been great before it was nerfed, but to some it is still as good as it ever was. Just my thoughts, only worth what you take them for.
RE: Nerfed or Not
# Jun 07 2002 at 1:18 PM Rating: Decent
I see level 60 Clerics running around in this BP, and they would and will never trade it in for anything else.

The Velious quest armors have the effect of Mark of Karn, which is a spell that heals the PC by 6hp every time he/she hits the mob(melee). In my opinion, I would much rather have a 30 second cast Complete Heal.

That, and the Skyshrine BP (more stats) has +15 wisdom, this one has 12.. 3 wisdom isn't something that would make me go for the SS BP, it's much easier to get that wisdom from a shield or 1hb/held item than it is to give up CHeal on a BP, no matter if you can't cast it on the same person for 7 minutes after 1st cast.

... But come to think about it, the only thing I would ever trade this for, would be the "Mail of Judgment" ( https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12427 )

I would never trade a clicky CH for a Clicky Mark of Karn. Why would you? Not like you can't have both, you know.

Mark of Karn is an awesome spell. It just doesn't get used much because, like all Heal-over-time spells, it has to last a certain amount of time to be mana efficient. With a right click MoK, you can always be using it and it makes a huge difference when your Tank is hitting the MoB 3 or 4 times every 2 seconds (thats 9-12 points of healing per second!). CH is good, but MoK will keep a tank alive on encounters they normally wouldn't. Not to mention the value of MoK against tough AoE MoBs.

I wish they would find something other than Invigorate to put on Warrior BPs, myself. Why not a permanent ATK buff or something. a 90HP heal is nice, but pretty much worthless against the higher MoBs in the game. Not to mention that quite a few pieces of equipment already have the effect on them.

Ok, I am on Fennin Ro server. This thing runs for about 100k on the street (east commons). The complete healing has not been takin away, but there is now a 7 minute wait between casts now. To top all of this off, it has very nice AC and awesome stats. With a donal bp, a manastone, and a fungi tunic (for between caast on Donal), u would be set.

why are you guys complaining this breastplate is still damn awesome. there are SEVERAL good ways to use this breastplate. now i don't believe that this item should be used during battle because endless heals plus endless tanking means you can take out nearly everything with two people except the psycho area effect i'm gonna eat you for breakfast guys. Let's see just in rezing alone this item is awesome, no mana to heal the person up and if with a raid if someone is using mod rods someone else can complete heal the cleric while he gets the mana up. and out of combat you can completely heal someone that is down in the absense or in substitution of a druid or shammy regening. i believe the only few that complain on the item are the ones that had it before it got nerfed but the ones that have it after still useful and if you don't want it give it to my new dark elf cleric i'm starting or one of my cleric guildmates

Could be a sarnak that ate too much, or got stung by one of them wasps in BW. :) Heh

Brestplates drop off trakanon (a dragon)

Leggings drop of Venril Sathir (a flying iksar)

Accually, theres not a piece of kunark class armor that drops off sarnaks, unless you include the monks cresent armor, dropped by the kly tribe in dalnir.
